URBAN SOUL

First time shopping here and despite living close by, I will not be returning. As I entered the shop (about midday on a weekend), the only staff member was behind the counter, having a loud discussion with a friend on the phone about their night out the night before. Content of the discussion included things such as social discrepancies, amount of alcohol consumed, social media posts, romantic liaisons etc. The staff member saw me enter and made eye contact, but continued on the call. Eventually (after about 5 minutes) she told the friend "I have to go because I probably should help this customer". By this stage I had a number of items draped over my arm. She put these in a fitting room, and offered no further assistance. Shortly after, her mother and a friend entered the store and struck up a very in depth conversation with the staff member so I received no further help. Contents of this conversation, which was easily audible to any customer, was about how boring the day at work was, and how tired she was from last night, as well as upcoming travel plans. I had about $500 worth of things I wanted to buy, but I left and will source them elsewhere. Having worked in fashion retail management for many years, I would be appalled to think that any of my staff would ever have represented their brand in this way. An extremely disappointing shopping experience, despite lovely product.

I'm so grateful for their online store and exceptional personal service with my endless questions on fitting and colours keeps my fashion needs fulfilled even though i've moved away! Urban Soul is literally my ‘one stop shop’ for every outfit requirement! Day, night or casual - the ladies have you covered on style, colour and range. Their honesty & experience, and of course their range, is what keeps me coming back, even now that I live on the other side of town. X

Urban Soul is always my go to when needing an outfit or retail fix. I always leave the store very happy with my purchase and experience. All the staff are very friendly! My Adele Cashmere crew neck jumper is my favourite go to this winter!

All of the best pieces in the one place. The staff in there are so lovely and helpful, they get me excited about putting outfits together and I always walk out feeling good!

I went into this store today dressed casually whilst waiting to collect an order from nearby. There were only a couple of other customers, two who were looked after and were possibly regulars and neither employee greeted or acknowledged me even when I was standing a meter away and clearly showing interest in items and she did look at me.

I was ready to purchase a few items that would have amounted to a few hundred dollars but the lack of regard or service given to me, not even a basic hello, turned me off giving my money to them. With the current situation with retail - the physical V online shopping - I would much prefer to support people who are kind and provide a service to me.

Disappointing experience.

I shopped in Urban soul several times. Loved their product and always enjoyed wearing them.
Few months ago, I bought a Cashmere Cardigan jumper, was lied in the shop it wouldn't leave much fluff. I wore it twice and couldn't handle the itchy material and the way how it was simply leaving fluff everywhere. It wasn't pleasant to wear at all. When you buy more expensive piece, you want to enjoy it and feel good.the promises I received in the shop were definitely not delivered.

I brought it kindly back, explained my situation and left it in the shop. Had to send an email to managers as I brought it back not within their short 2 week return period (during Covid, when you are limited to go out/ shops are closed, you would think they would be more tolerant). I emailed the owner, 2 weeks later after following up on the phone and another email they finally got back to me.refusing any kind of solution. Jumper is with them, money as well -> no further solution for the customer.

Just want to say.be extremely careful buying things online from this shop without trying them on. Do not buy something you don't completely love as they will not accept your returns and won't be open to help.

Sadly, I have decided not to come again and prefer to support different boutiques in the area who truly value their customers and put them on the first place.

As this was my first time shopping here, I found the experience very lovely. The girls were so nice however I bought an item and wasn't told that if I changed my mind I wouldn't be able to get a refund. I never took the item out of the bag after purchasing so thought it'd be okay, I went in to get a refund because I couldnt in the end justify the amount spent. I was refused a refund but instead a store credit. I'm very unhappy about this and don't want to shop there again because of this.

Best women’s fashion in Melbourne! I’ve been shopping here for 13 years, and still have pieces from when I first started! Jo knows fashion and style better than anyone I’ve met and curates the best range - all so beautiful and wearable. And the girls in store are just divine x

This store remains one of the best stores in Melbourne! Wonderful customer service each and every time, and fast and reliable online when I cannot get instore. Nothing is too much trouble. Love Urban Soul
