Urban Man Malvern Barber Shop

I absolutely love this place used to go to a hairdresser around the corner but now I go here and I cannot recommend both Jay and David enough. Just got my haircut today from Jay and he cut my hair exactly how I wanted it to be can’t see myself going anywhere but here.

Perfect for a quick haircut that takes no longer than 20 minutes, exactly the type of service I am after.
If you wanted a more in depth service you might not get it here but Hamood is a lovely man

The barbers are well-qualified experts in their trade. Great experience every time I visit.

I asked for the same haircut I got last time and showed image references. The old lady started off way shorter than I had asked and she argued throughout the haircut refusing to listen to what I had wanted. She was also paying most of her attention to a conversation next to her. Awful experience. Will never go back.

I saw David to get a haircut before I went on a date, the cut was so good, she is still with me 5 years later. Been going to him ever since, because I don't want to risk it.

Pretty good cut and nice people to chat to. Can be long wait times though, it’s popular for all ages.

Today opening times were advertised as being 11am to 4 pm Sunday
Several people attended at 11 am and were confident the place would be open as advertised
The business was closed all day
I walked around the corner to a barber that was open and busy
Poeple are to busy to have their time wasted by missleading, inaccurate and unprofessional advertising which could easly be corrected to avoid inconveniencing cutomers

Their haircuts are decent but I'm never coming back. Absolutely atrocious wait times. Needs much better management with bookings or get the barbers to finish the haircuts a bit quicker.

Wasted 2 hours in line with 4 or 5 people Infront of me. Absolutely ridiculous. I'm flabbergasted. How can three staff combined take 30 minutes per customer? Save your sanity and your time and do not come here, at least until they sort something out with the wait times. Feel bad for the 5 people behind me.

Monday afternoon.

Been going here for nearly a year and a half, and honestly the best haircuts I've had from over the years. Shane is god at cuts, good space and friendly environment even in these new restrictions, highly recommend.

Used to go here regularly. Last time I went they closed 30 minutes early, so much for placing customers first. Other clients with their reviews have also noticed the same thing. Customer loyalty clearly counts for nothing Plenty of other barbers out there to try.

I finally found a very good barber in Melbourne.have had my hair cut by Matt, Rebecca and Shane. All three are excellent. It's a funny thing, but I judge a haircut by the skill by which they employ a straight hand razor, a service which sadly, is rarely seen with barbers these days. They put extra attention to detail with this, even foaming the area before doing so. A lot of attention to detail goes into the styling by each of them. Oh and these three are very friendly too!

I've been getting my hair cut by Shane for years now. I'm afraid that if he ever stops cutting hair I'll have to let mine grow out forever.

Great place to have your hair cut. Staff is super friendly and nice, especially the Irish barber. Had a nice chat throughout the haircut and overall really good service.
For the first time in a while I came out of the barber shop genuinely happy with the cut. All thanks to her.

Visited Urban man and got a cut from Matt. Very happy to find this shop! The shop was really busy but I didn't feel rushed. Matt had amazing attention to detail. I'll be returning

Brittany Cartel at Urban Man is one of the best barbers / stylists in Melbourne and most of you are sleeping on her skills. She may kick you once and a while, but I can’t wait for her to style our wedding in 2023!
