Fantastic experience! I can't play guitar to save my life but wanted to buy one as a gift. Mitch walked me through options in my price range, helped me with comparisons, played them for me so I could hear the differences, even ordered one for me in a different colour and was incredibly gracious when I ultimately went with a different option. Brought it home and it's even in tune! Best birthday present ever!

I went in here to get a capo, and i gave the guy (who im assuming is the owner) the right amount of money, he gave me 5 dollars back and he's like "its always good to have some change in your bag". First time I've walked in to Upwey Music for replacement of a sguitar tring that kept snapping on me. Blair replaced it on the spot. He spent a bit of time and did a couple of adjustments and charged me a very reasonable price.
Something pretty simple but I'll definately returning to Upwey Music if I need anything in future due to the excellent price and service.

This shop has a good range of instruments plus accessories drop in say hi have a look also the most important thing is knowledge

I bought a new redding guitar acoustic electric was on special in the window as soon as I put my eye along the fretboard I knew it was mine it's a thing of beauty it plays well I'm just learning the guitar technician who works at the store set it up beautifully the action is spot on couldn't be happier, value for money thank you very much.
I also had my Valencia nylon guitar worked on with new high tension strings put on made a huge difference sounds beautiful

Went to this music shop with the intention of buying a new guitar to learn how to play Perfect by Ed sheeran for my girlfriend. The staff were amazing and so helpful. It was clear that they knew what they were talking about. They showed me guitar that was in my price range and tuned it for the song I was trying to learn. I have never used a guitar before so I wasn't sure of the chords, but happily placed stickers on the guitar for the chords in the songs. I am happy to say that I can now play the entire song (still need a lot of practice to master it) thanks to their help. They were negotiable on price too and gave me a good deal. Very happy with the service I received, and they were not critical towards me for having zero guitar knowledge but instead helped me understand what I will need to do. They did not try to sell me things that I wouldnt need even though I would have trusted their advice and bought it. Also don't try to pressure you into buying anything, they give you time to think about your decision and don't persist on trying to get you to buy something. I was very happy with everything about this store. Very knowledgeable and friendly gentlemen. Would definitely recommend this place to others, especially those who don't know where to start with a new instrument. Would give it 6/5 stars if I could! Thank you so much again
