Disappointing when you pay $85.00 kg for eye fillet and get rubbish that’s been pushed together to look like a decent steak. This is the second time this has happened in recent times. Not a one off.

Today especially preparing a few items in request on the spot as well as giving helpful advice. Greatly appreciated especially during their busy period right before New Years.

Meat is nice, but customer service, friendliness and a good feeling when you walk in the shop,
is lacking. If you ask any questions, instead of answering you, the person serving, just looks around for someone to answer, but that person is no more helpful than the person who’s serving you. They need a new manager to brighten up the shop, so as to make shoppers feel welcome and happy to buy from them.

I’m really sad to say that I bought 2 $60 per kg “little joe” steaks from here and when I took them home they were off. I called the shop to speak to the owner/manager about it and left my phone number, it’s been a few days and I haven’t heard from anyone. I know it’s a tough time for business but this was a disappointing (and potentially unsafe) experience.

Went to purchase a 1.5kg eye fillet and when I asked for a full piece the young apprentice pointed me to the back fridge. I was really disappointed with the cut and reached out to the butcher.
The owner reached out to resolve the issue, which shows a high level of professionalism. He provided me with the correct cut of meat and apologized for the error. Great customer service.

Uppercuts meat produce is always outstanding, in fact I’d go so far as to say some of the best we’ve ever had. It’s why we keep coming back.

Have been coming here for 3yrs and will continue to do so. My chronic illness couldn't be more greatful for the quality of meat and it has honestly made a world of difference to my well being (which I really didn't think meat would).

I always use this Butcher. Yesterday I was in the shop and 2 young people without masks seemed to be having a social visit with one of the staff members looking at their phone and sharing stuff. I have a very sick husband who is high risk of contacting Covid. There did not appear to be a senior person 8n shift yesterday to remind young people they have a responsibility to wear a mask. I will not be going back to this outlet. Shame on this staff member.

Uppercuts are no average butcher. Tate and his team offer exceptionally high quality produce, and one of the only places to buy Open Pasture eggs in the neighbourhood.

Best butcher in Melbourne. The service is always helpful and friendly, and the meat/seafood is fresh and beautifully presented. I love the focus on local, free range produce, and am delighted with the volume of coeliac friendly options. I simply won't buy anywhere else.

Great service and quality of the meats and the homemade sausages are fantastic. Try the scotch fillets! And nitrate free ham is really good.

Uppercuts is single handedly the best butcher I have dealt with in Melbourne. Not only is the shop well presented, and the staff super friendly, but the products they provide are simply a cut above the rest. Tate and the team have continued to impress with their wide range of choices and will remain my preferred butcher for years to come. No order is too big or too small for them and they do it with a smile

The pork products - St Bernards (?) - trump anything I've cooked before, just delicious and tender. The Cape Grimm rump is also easily the best rump I've eaten - memorable. Prices are very acceptable given the quality in general.

I'm not one to usually leave reviews but the owner of this butcher (the tall guy) is the worst human being I have ever come across. The way he spoke to his staff was absolutely appalling. You do not speak to your staff like they are absolute trash. Especially in front of customers. Friends of mine have said they have had bad experiences with this man as well! One said he made homophobic remarks in her ear shot and on top of that Everything is so over priced for what it is.

I would like to say that these guys rock. I rang up from Canberra and asked if they would do a delivery for me for a secret Santa gift. They let me go well under their usually spend amount for delivery and were happy to do. Thank you so much for your wonderful service! Merry Christmas.
