This butchery landed in a highly contested Glenferrie rd space, especially up against long term stalwart down the road. It’s difficult to change habits of a suburb that has low turnover of residents. Would be good to see some more support from locals. Just cooked the scotch on the BBQ and unanimous verdict was excellent balance of age, tenderness and freshness. Blows IGA out of the water.

Find the staff and product offer really great. I went in one day for some tomahawk steaks and they didn't have as they had just opened that week any but they rang me to say they got them which was great. Sausages are lovely as is the prepared chicken and veggie dinners you just need to put in the oven for a quick but tasty weekday meal. Glad the shop has opened as the IGA is a rip off on meat and has had its way for far to long and not g=friendly staff at all. Welcome to the neighborhood Uppercuts:)

Beautifully setup local butcher. Everything is very fresh and immaculately clean. We bought some sausages and mini roasts under the recommendation of the butcher there and everything was delicious. I highly recommend the Lamb Sausages (although no matter what you pick, you can't go wrong). They also stock deli goods as well.

I started to go to UpperCuts in Hawthorn in recent months. The best butcher I've been to! After living on a small island in Spain for about 19 months recently, and eating their delicious meat (local from the island!) that I thought nothing else could compare: I found Uppercuts and really happy. Delicious and high quality. The staff are very friendly and helpful and always follow up with any special order requests. They also give tips for cooking. Highly recommended.x

Been here half a dozen times since opening and every time been very happy with the range, quality and service and pretty good prices for the area (although the dog bones are a bit steep)

Fabulous to finally have a local butcher! We have so tried some of the sausages, the burgers, bacon, and lots of the chicken products, which have all been delicious.

A great butcher with very friendly staff. It has been exciting to see the shop now occupied and helping to give an alternative to the big supermarkets. So far have tried the beef strips and some porterhouse steaks. Looking forward to trying out more. The place is spotlessly clean, so will be back for sure!
