Upper Beaconsfield General Store

I had a disappointing experience at this cafe. After requesting a replacement for my initially overcooked/ burnt meal (which was even worse when initially served), I found the overall experience lacking consideration for the customer. Despite the appealing ambiance, the quality of the food left much to be desired. Would you be willing to consume something of this standard?

If you are in the area you MUST try them out. The most consistent high quality coffee that I have ever had. It doesn't matter if you are the only one there or there are 10 people waiting on a Saturday morning. The quality of the coffee always exceeds my expectations. I have tried their breakfast muffin today and again expectations are exceeded. Would give 7 starts if possible

The kids enjoyed their snack packs, with nuggets, chips, apple and a chocolate LCM type bar. Very different, rustic feel. Loved the leather couch, too. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the cat out the back was a bit cute, too.

We absolutely loved the hot cross buns with jam in. The best ones we have ever tasted.
Such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

I love visiting this store, it is like a breath of fresh air to be served by attentive, friendly, happy staff. Great menu, including GF options. Our go to local eatery. Highly recommend.

They've failed the first step of business.
The young girls need to learn how to treat the customers. Dobe rude.
My partner and I been there and we've
ordered 2 chicken sandwiches to have it there.firstly, they served the sandwiches cold.
My partner had a vegetable bread from the next door, but the young girl said we can't have it here, it's our rule.
I said we've ordered 2 sandwiches from here so my partner and I can have lunch together! And young girl said No, we can't have it here. So we decided to leave.
Unbelievable reaction when I've asked them why they didn't toast the sandwiches and why they didn't ask us to toast it or Not.
So, I've asked the to take away my foods and the attached photos shows how they did it for me.

What a lovely place to be on a winter morning! Sipping a heartwarming cappuccino next to a wood heater while the locals filter in to get their daily fix.

Wife and I stopped past on our way to the Dandenong's for our anniversary a few weeks back. Cakes were disappointing; stale and flavourless.

Great service from start to finish. Easy to place an order online. Up to date information on the other status. Also easy to call them and clarify where to put the wood? And a separate place to deliver the gravel. Both of the people who delivered were very professional and helpful

Friendly bunch of people. Helpful and full of advice when your stuck with a house repair. Also they have good coffee and toasties.

Great water cartage service! We are building in the area and our renderers had ran out of water in our IBC water tanks. They were so helpful and even squeezed us in when they were booked out for the day. Thanks for the prompt service guys!

Fantastic hot chocolate and iced chocolates. Friendly staff and welcoming vibe. Can recommend for a nice spot for lunch or a quick run when short on milk. It’s a good time always.

Steph & JD have done an awesome job turning around the Upper Beaconsfield General Store with their fresh ideas and positive outlook. Coffee is fabulous and food is really well priced. They're making great efforts to support the community by using local suppliers and keeping prices reasonable.

Bland coffee lacking body. Counter service. Comfortable interior in a semi rural aspect. Average customer service from the two fair haired young ladies working behind the counter. Generic bought in cakes. Old news papers to read and you can buy a four day old Saturday Age for the full price which I did thanks to the young lady.

Sweet cafe, good coffee and selection of savoury and sweet treats. Outdoor seating, some undercover.
