University House

First outing since lock down and it was amazing. Food was beautiful and the service was fantastic. Looking forward to someone inviting me back.

University House has been a beacon of sanity and grace for years, and never more so than in the last few months of the pandemic. With the reopening they have risen to new heights of service. A real gem in our academic community.

I love Uni house Friday after work. Great place if you study at Melb Uni. Definitely tourist attraction for others.

Had never been to University House when I was studying at University. But got an opportunity to go there recently with Welcome to Melbourne mentoring program.

Best place for UoM staff to relax and have meetings over coffee, snacks or meals. Good wine selection, too!

Great food, friendly staff. The lemon curd muffins are the best I ever had!

"Members Only" is etched into a large brass plaque by the door. Just as well I was invited to a graduation ceremony.lest I be ejected unceremoniously. This is the embodiment of an elite establishment (e^3).

I am a new staff at University, fascinated to participate in university house with live weekend music and history-politics club

Food is a bit expensive, we had salmon and okonomiyaki surf and turf style, taste not so impressive. We had a choice of either that or grilled vegetables, but they served randomly and I had to switch plates with my tablemate as I wanted the grilled salmon plate. It was explained that that is the usual practice (?) but it would have been easier to have asked us beforehand. Onion soup was a treat though.

I love being a member of University House. It is such a warm, friendly and beautiful space for all meals, just a coffee or a drink after work.

The chamber music was excellent, especially the variety. A suggestion for a future paid event a blues, jazz, rock and roll evening, with a musician like Sebastian, a dance space and finger food.

University House serves consistently good coffee in relaxing surroundings. Sometimes the noise levels can get a bit high, but on the whole it's a convenient and comfortable spot to catch up with colleagues. I would like to see some non-sweet options for morning tea (even toast!).
