Universal School of Music

I started my journey as a bedroom DJ, going live on Facebook and Instagram during Covid Lockdowns. I remember Steve created a post on Instagram seeking students who want to learn and become professional Musicians. I applied and went on the first day to observe. Then I took up the Ableton Live Essential course and boy I had no idea that a piece of music is just created from 4 bars. Then stepped into the zone of creating more amazing beats from Ableton.
But something still was missing. I need to understand and feel what are the different scales of music. Enrolled me for Saxophone - Blues and Jazz training Term 1. My life has changed since then. It is a very tough and disciplined journey and all I can remember is my martial art training.
Now I am more confident and transformed myself from bedroom musician to main stream music. Thank you so much Music Valley.

I completed the Unleash the Artist program with Music Valley. It is very resourceful and has enabled me to develop a professional mindset as an artist and provided structure and discipline to my music goals. It has helped me discover my true intention and mission as an artist and how to present that to the world. Great mentors who really spend time with you individually to develop your live act.

For years I wanted to find people I could collaborate with to make musical magic. I was so eager as a music artist & performer to collaborate with producers, musicians, other vocalists and artists to make my dreams come to life. Then one day I discovered M Tribe! It was the perfect design for everything I’d ever wanted. To come together weekly, learn, evolve, refine your skills and become a better musician. It has changed my life and I will forever be grateful to the team at Music Valley for creating such an incredible space for anyone aspiring to be in the music industry!

Music Valley and its Unleash the Artist program has been a great opportunity for me to become gig ready. It has helped me craft a set and a brand that is performance ready and which can be replicated again and again. I feel more prepared, confident and know myself more as an artist.

Since stumbling across Music Valley and M Tribe, I have been fortunate enough to work alongside the most passionate, dedicated, and influential, musical minds.
Those that I have collaborated with through M Tribe have helped to test me, shape me, and gently guide me through my artistic journey as a singer/songwriter, in ways I know could not have been possible without them.
It is always an absolute joy to be doing such incredibly vulnerable, creative, and freeing work with my music family and I look forward to seeing what we all achieve together.

My daughter has been with Music Valley since 2018. Her diversified exposure at Music Valley (in the areas of vocal coaching, stage craft, piano lessons & song writing) & working with multiple music mentors/coaches over 4 years, has not only fed to her creative needs in the area of music but has helped her to develop many core values & life skills. We can see her applying these core values & life skills in her other aspects of life as well.

Music Valley's programme "Unleash the Artist" not only exposed her to event management skills but has steered her in the direction of becoming an Independent Artist. By following the programme & under the coaching of Steve Jaz, she did her "Debut Single Release “at the age of 13.

As parents, we have absolutely enjoyed her journey with music so far at Music Valley. She has come a long way - from being a shy person to now owning the stage with her original music. The fact that she has FUN every time she is performing makes the whole journey even more satisfying. Thank You Music Valley for bringing out the best in her. I joined Music Valley 4 years ago as a student learning music for the first time. Before joining Music Valley I always had stage fright, and now I don’t even get the nerves. Music Valley taught me to own the stage.

Recently, I started taking songwriting lessons at Music Valley and at the age of 13, I’ve already written 4 songs. On the 19th of November I had my first DEBUT SINGLE RELEASE at Music Valley, and this could NOT have been done without the incredible people there. Music Valley really cares about music and really helped me grow as a singer.

I started Music Valley as a student, but now I’m an artist. In the span of 4 years, Music Valley did so much for me, and is continuing to help me grow as a young artist in this world.

The team at Music Valley have made moving my business of Studio E so incredibly seamless and easy. I have been hiring Studio 2 since the hard lockdown of 2021 and I couldn’t be prouder to call the team at Music Valley family and I’m so proud to have this studio as my new home for my business.

Music Valley is the perfect spot for independent teachers that are looking for a space to hire out for their student events. I recently did my last student event their and couldn't have been happier with the space and the service that was provided by Steve. The set up is user friendly and the space has a great vibe. Feedback from my students and their parents was nothing but positive. The students loved the sound and the stage and lighting. Steve went out of his way to make sure that they event ran smoothly. The location is very central and there is plenty of parking in the area. I would highly recommend this space to teachers that are looking for a top quality space which is still affordable for independent teachers. Thank you to Steve and the team!

Since I've started working Music Valley I've been able to operate & host clients, in a very modern & comfortable environment.the team are extremely helpful in regards to networking & sound boarding off each other that helps take my skills & projects to the next level

Music Valley is an amazing space for creatives in the Point Cook area, with support for performance, skill and artist development, as well as recording and event facilities. I've attended local magazine launches there where Steven gave great assistance in facilitating the event, taped and produced video for social media. If there is anywhere I would recommend for smaller creative events, and music production in the area, it would be Music Valley.

I first heard of the Universal School of Music when I was looking up events and masterclasses relating to music in my area. When I met the staff they were very welcoming and I could tell immediately that they were communicating a strong ethos. My 13 year old son started his journey at USM last year and it has been the most rewarding experience ever. He encountered lots of setbacks over the last couple of years, moving abroad and then interstate and constantly trying to settle into his new environments which was a struggle. USM has not only given him the opportunity to be part of a community with like-minded souls where he feels comfortable, safe, free and can openly share how his feeling. He found his passion and pathway for the future and this has taken him to a whole new level and he has grown into a confident young man. Hi all! The past few months at usm have been great! A really good team of people and some really good artists! I’m happy with how they have been and continue to support them in any way! No ones perfect and no one is expected to be! I don’t think it’s a good idea if your not happy with this company to slander their name! You should simply leave and keep the negative comments out of the way, so that the others who attend can feel welcomed by staff who aren’t stressed out or having to deal with peoples bad attitude! I am a mother of a 16 yo boy and wish to thank Steve, Michel and all the amazing teachers at Universal for what they've achieved so far with him.
This school has embraced and encouraged my son's musical passion. His musical ability is constantly being harnessed and challenged. But it's not only his music; he's been challenged to keep growing and maturing as a person. Through the incredible mentoring he recieves from his teacher Michel he is growing into a young man I'm extremely proud of!
