United Petroleum Wendouree ( Pie Face) reviews
10Don't normally leave poor reviews but here is an exception. Bought a pie and some mini pies yesterday for myself and kids. Very hard to hear over the intercom at the drive though. Got to window, service was friendly enough, but order was wrong. Knock on the window and got it sorted. My pie was temperature of the sun on the outside and luke warm in the middle. The filling was very bland and certainly not worth $7.50! The mini pies for the kids where dangerously hot they couldn't eat them for 15mins after burning themselves. Honestly it would be the worst pie I have had.
Two days in a row they didn’t clean the automatic coffee machine so unable to buy coffee at 8: 30 in the morning. Didn’t want to Brewster coffee because the coffee that they make in their taste terrible.
Massive selection of pies and pasties and so much more it's crazy! Very well stocked and fantastic friendly staff always greet you with a genuine smile and hello, they appreciate the business and it shows by the respect they give in return, unlike the major chains where they just expect you to pay what's asked and be great full they served you.
$7 a pie is a bit overpriced. Instead of walking out to talk with customers, they use a pa system.
Just got a shepherds pie and it was cold in the middle.
Don't recommend food here
Nice staff, watch from 8 to 9am as it gets busy and from 2.45 to 5pm through weekdays. Any other time is an in and out trip.
Outrageous I had to wait for service as the sales person was on his tablet making a call video
The pies are kept cold and are warmed up while you wait.
I bought a pasty and beef, cheese and bacon pie. The pasty pastry was light fluffy and delicious but unfortunately the filling was disgusting, it literally tasted like a bland lean mince patty had been rolled lightly across some finely diced vegetables so they coated its outside while the inside remained hard, dry and tasteless, pastry aside it was the worst pasty I've ever had in my 50 years of life on this planet.
If only the pie had been the redeemer here.it wasn't. The pie crust was hard, dry and tasteless as if I were eating a cardboard box or some hardtack from the 1700's, the pies interior wasn't much better, the gravy wasn't the deep brown, light brown or even brown at all that I'm used to seeing oozing from the good ol meat pies I know and love, it was some god awful reddish/orange colour, the steak consisted of three one centimetre cubes of dry hard beef and there was no cheese or bacon to be seen or tasted at all. It just didn't taste like a meat pie, just a cardboardy, watery glug with three cubes of dried beef within.
You seriously couldn't pay me to buy another meal from Pie Face again, the food is vile, I'd rather eat the paper bags they came in!
Just another service station selling overpriced food. Hard to access as located next to a roundabout.
