The food extremely fresh, price reasonable with excellent service & great atmosphere. Even my little son rated 10/10!

I have been a frequent customer since COVID lockdown but unfortunately the quality of sea urchin and sashimi has been very disappointing lately. The 10A sea urchin I ordered prior to Xmas was spoiled and filled with broken pieces of sea urchin just to make up for the weight. The sashimi platter did not taste fresh and you can tell it has been refrigerated for a very long time. Do not recommend and will not go back again.

Ordered the 12a Sea Urchin sets and it was absolutely delicious. Son had the foie gras and unagi set and he enjoyed it too. Great food, great service and would definitely come back.

I have been here before. Their foods are very awesome. All staff are very friendly and cheerful, and I am lucky and happy to became one of member in the Roe. They help and teach me a lot of things.

Take away too slow been order the food for 30min and I arrived the shop outside ring the door bell and the girl come out say wait out side and dint tell me how long it was. After 15 min another customer coming ring door bell again and the girl come out after 3 min. Then I ask her again how long I need to wait for the food? She say in packaging. After another 5 min only come out. Total wait time about 1hour for the abalone rice and uni rice?

Amazing place. Photos looked amazing before we came and the actual experience and food is great! Very kids friendly. They have special kids menu, puzzles to solve, stickers to keep the kids busy.

Haven’t been back for a couple of months. The place had a big revamp and looks more like a restaurant and the food is just as good if not even better. Extra points for kids menu

Very Chinese experience, fresh uni but not the best I had in terms of flavours. So it remains expensive especially for a cheap dining experience even though the waiters were very nice. The tuna was cut a bit randomly.

If you're wondering what the fuss is about with sea urchin, abalone and edible nest this is a good place to find out. In an industrial area a small warehouse has been converted into a restaurant. Service is great. Music loud boppy chinese. Crowd nearly all young asians. The ingredients are expensive so it's not cheap. Worth a try for something different.

Great quality of food and everyone enjoyed their meal! I had the Wagyu bowl and it was tender and full of flavour. The kids were excited with their kids meal and a free toy was a great touch!

Interesting decor and touristy but the seafood is fresh and tasty! Well worth the money spent! Live singer singing Chinese songs but interactive and good service!

Ordered Broiled Eel with Urchin, Uni Tuna Rice Bowl and some desserts. They are very good.
Recommend others to come and try.
I’m sure I will come again.

Went to uni boom boom for the first time tonight on recommendation from my brother. Plenty of seating and some cool decoration makes the atmosphere light and fun. The food was delicious! We tried the scallop uni and king salmon uni (regular size) which I will definitely come back for. Put uni boom boom on your list if you love your seafood!

Scallop sashimi was delicious and fresh. Uni rice bowl was also tasty but a bit smaller than expected (for 100g). Great if you're a seafood lover.

Went here with the family and really enjoyed it. They catered for kids with a good kids menu. Uni and seafood was very fresh. Will come back next time we are in Melbourne.

Don’t underestimate the simple look from outside. Once you walked in, you’ll find yourself in a proper restaurant set up and not to mention the quality of sea urchin (get a platter to share! We’ve also tried their abalone ramen which was a mind blowing!

Good place for uni based dishes. Reasonably priced. Not exactly omakase grade but nice for a quick fix. Also had the hokkaido scallops which were fresh. Quirky decor in a subsection of their fish market.

A breath of fresh air! Not only the food is fresh and good, the setup and atmosphere is one of its kind, reminds me of 民歌餐厅.

The milk tea is very fragrant too.

Took away the best grade of sea urchin recommended by the manager. I would say its the best i have tasted so far. Strongly recommended!
Will definitely try their king salmon next time.

Very fresh and good portion sizes. Interesting atmosphere with live singing. King salmon, tuna belly and salmon belly were great. Uni was fresh and sweet.
