Uncle Sam's Food Mart - Burgers & Fish & Chips

Unexpected rare find north of the highway. Crispy fish and chips, cooked to order in fresh oil. Generous serves were quite delicious.
Had to wait on a busy night, so appreciated the acknowledgement of our time.
Friendly on the phone and in store. Will definitely be back.

We’ve just moved down here from Melbourne and found this fish & chip shop not far from our house. What a fantastic find. Fresh, crispy, non-greasy Mini Family Pack. Generous serving, lovely owners. This shop will now be our Friday night f&c go to.

No.really. Ever since Sahad and his lovely family took over, Pakenham has become a better place to live.
I not only can get fresh, hot cooked food within 15 minutes. But. I get customer service on a first name basis, with a smile.
I'm so happy with the way the store has changed with the takeover, that I spend a LOT of time here.
The Burgers here are amazing - and there is a little something for everyone!
And to complain about too little tomato or so-called "Food-Poisoning"?

This ONE business on a Friday or Saturday night, can have over 25 orders to deal with - AT ANY ONE TIME!

Food poisoning will occur ROUGHLY 24 hours AFTER eating the food. (So, sounds like a minor gastro bug.)

Tried this place for something different and all I can say is Other then the exceptional and friendly service the food was absolutely terrible. Overcooked fish, half oily and tasteless chips with barely any chicken salt. Hotdog in batter had split into 3 broken pieces and scallops had to have been cooked from frozen or imitation as they were so small and dry. My dad loves his scallops and he said they’re just not right. My son experienced stomach pain/cramps and feeling very unwell, possible food poisoning followed by myself then his sister not long after and right through the night.
I would not recommend this place regardless of the so called positive reviews.

Great little fish and chip takeaway place. Was trying to find a good fish and chips place in pakey and found this joint. Got burgers with the lot, potato cakes and chips. I loved the burgers. Generous patties with all the fillings. Very tasty. The potato cakes were a little overcooked but the chips were tasty too. My wife thought her burger was dry but I thought mine was the perfect temperature. Tastes like the oil the potato cakes and chips were cooked is old too.

I have been here a few times, but this time the flake was not good at all none of the family ate it

Always helpful and the food is delicious. I look forward to my weekly trip to uncle Sams to get hot chips for lunch

Uncle Sam's Food Mart are by far the best burgers and fish and chips I have eaten. Everything is always so fresh and their service is amazing! So lucky to have this shop around the corner from my house. Thank you guys:)

Good quality fish and chips, I would highly recommend them. Their prices are great and staff are super friendly. I love that you can also get everything you need there too not many corner stores left I love it.

I have just moved to the area, and wanted to have a look to see what they sold. There is a variety on the menu, although I haven't tried anything I definitely will. I went into get some groceries as I live up the road, and the lady who served me was so so friendly. Once I told her I lived nearby she asked for my name & always remembers it when I go in. Friendly service!

These guys used to be bloody awesome, I'd say the best in Victoria, but they've dropped the ball big time. Sorry guys, we're going elsewhere. Burnt batter, old oil and lucky to get a handful of chips now. It's a shame because they are great to deal with. Oh well, moving forward.
