Uncle Nev's Trail Riding

My partner and i had the best day out! We got the 3 hour ride and it was definitely worth it.the staff were so friendly and welcoming.the trail they brought us on was so beautiful! We would come back in a heartbeat, especially to see the horses we were on, Judy and Maxi.thanks so much to everyone there! Would recommend to anyone!

My partner and I went on a trail ride for my birthday, 31 Dec just recently (2023). We were paired off with our horses and rode off as a large group and they separated us as the ride went on to capabilities. I hadn't been on a horse for some time (15 years) but was competent when I was younger. They encouraged me to go with the canter group and I have to admit they made the right decision for me. Puddin was a great gentle gelding, the ladies who took us were lovely and had great conversations and tips with the horses. The scenery was lovely and stopping off for morning tea with tea and biscuits and a view was a great break from the ride.

Highly recommend, great value for monry and great environment. We were blessed with a gorgeous fresh morning and mild sunny mid morning ride.

We had a great time on the 3 hour ride this morning.

The staff were all lovely and friendly and knew the horses and their individual personalities well.

The scenery was stunning and most importantly the horses seemed happy and well cared for.

There were quite a few return guests in our group and after having such a great experience today we understand why and also hope to return again in the future.

During the 1: 30 pm one-hour ride yesterday, I encountered a disturbing incident that marred what should have been an enjoyable experience. A male employee, a large man, engaged in highly inappropriate behavior by physically spanking me during the mounting process, attempting to guide my positioning in the saddle. Shockingly, this was neither accidental nor isolated, as he repeated this action three to four times.
Despite my initial hesitance to confront the situation directly due to my nervousness as a first-time rider, the lasting impact of this incident prompts me to voice my concerns publicly. I am left questioning whether my ethnicity, as an Asian female, played a role in this deplorable behavior. This conduct not only falls far below professional standards but also constitutes a clear case of harassment.
To date, my attempt to address this matter privately has gone unanswered, intensifying my dismay. It is my hope that by bringing this to public attention, the establishment will take swift and decisive action to prevent such incidents in the future and ensure a safe and respectful environment for all participants.
No individual should endure such treatment, especially in an activity meant to be enjoyable and secure. I implore Uncle Nev to acknowledge and rectify this situation promptly.

My daughter and I had a day out together and decided to go Trail riding at Uncle Nev's
The Facilty was beautiful, the horses were all amazing and gentle and the 3 girls who took us out were amazing, supportive kind and friendly. Came with my mum for a girls day out. We were first greeted by the lovely Carol, who is easily the sweetest woman we’ve ever met! The facility was beautiful and the horses were very clearly loved and well looked after, as well as very well trained. We were perfectly matched to our horses depending on our experience. Mum rode Pepper, a gentle and easy going boy. And I got to ride the adorable young Trick! The ride was fantastic and the three guides Beth, Bella and Michelle were the most kind, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and fun ladies ever! They made the whole experience and all the riders feel very safe and comfortable. Compared to any trail riding facility I have been to or worked at, Uncle Nev’s is the go to!

I absolutely love coming here! I have family in Wallan and I come here every few months, but I wish I could come every weekend!
The horses are extremely patient and docile, and each rider is carefully matched to the right horse. Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable too. Carol at the office is lovely.
There are plenty of opportunities to trot, canter and even gallop for experienced riders, however, there are also beginner-friendly rides. The views from the mountain are amazing.
There is a snack and tea break in the middle of the ride which is always great.

One of the best experience I had in Melbourne was this horse riding. Rode for 3hrs going through different terrains. Will be back again if I can.

Was good experience. Tea break at good location. They got friendly staff. My horse name was boy Lucas. He is good boy. For my next visit i will surely come back. If some how team can manage to fight with flies. That would be really great.

I spent the morning of my 21st birthday here riding as I love horses. It was my first time at Uncle Nev's, but I will definitely be back. The horses, staff, and overall atmosphere were amazing, everyone was so lovely and the horses were beautiful, evidently well cared for and happy. We were taken through beautiful bushland and saw lots of kangaroos, and the more experienced riders were given the opportunity to have a canter which was sensational. It was so much fun and I will absolutely be returning!

We went to Uncle Nev's Trail Riding for my niece's birthday as she really wanted to do horse riding. It was such a pleasant experience right from the moment we arrived, geared up, they even have boots for you if you wore the wrong shoes.and started the ride. What awesome views, the views at the midpoint arvo tea was spectacular, and the ride back was exciting. Staff were friendly too. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful morning. Uncle Nev’s have helpful, friendly (horse loving) staff who take safety seriously by providing good, consistent instruction and dividing groups by ability / comfort level. We went on the 3 hour ride and, as absolute novices, we had the opportunity to gallop, descend steep hills and walk through beautiful bush land. Don’t expect gourmet snacks, but your not here for the food. I can’t imagine a better horse riding experience.

A bit disappointed this time. The slim and young female staff with blonde hair was very rude. She didn't explain to us what we need to do but just shouting at us when we were confused about the situation. Besides, she didn't give any response after we said 'thank you' to heathers, but just walked away. There are many reviews mentioned her attitude, and I can't agree more. Same as another customer mentioned, that'd be much better if we are told in advance about plans. And if the horse doesn't listen to the customer, it'd be very nice if staffs come around and assist us. After all, we are not the ones who trained and spent most of time with those horses.

Amazing experience! The horses, the gears and the bush riding to the top of the hill, the scenic tea room there and also the lovely staff… definitely recommend!

Honestly the best trail ride we have been on. Worth driving a bit further for. Beautiful views. Gorgeous responsive horses. Lovely stop for a cuppa and biscuit. Really lovely staff who were wonderful with my over eager daughter. Will definitely be back.

Partner said that riding wisht made him feel very safe and gave him an awesome first experience for riding.
Definitely recommend for people of all experience. Will definitely be back again.
