AVOID - AVOID -AVOID COURT CASE UPDATE
The owner {Frank) decided to take me to VCAT (Vic Civil Administrative Tribunal) to sue me for the full cancellation fee of $295.

He bumbled through his evidence, with um's and ah's and was even caught lying by the Chairperson twice.

He failed to prove or justify the work the company undertook for this "so called" booking in the 66 minutes between me getting a quote and my call back to advise I was not going ahead with their quote.

I WON THE CASE and have nothing to pay!

AVOID - AVOID -AVOID 50% Cancellation Fee when you cancel with more than 14 days of event. 100% Cancellation Fee if you cancel within 14 Days. If you don't pay the fee they send a debt collector after you!

1: 24 PM, A call was placed and services were discussed. James ended the call saying.due to the short notice of the event (Wedding in 30 Days!) he would get back to me before a booking could be made. I had not booked or signed anything at this stage as he had no-one readily available for the date of the wedding.

2: 30 PM SAME DAY, A call was placed to advise James another DJ had been booked so no need to find anyone. He then advised the was a $295 Cancellation Fee.

REGARDLESS OF YOUR POLICY THIS PRACTICE IS WRONG!

Hired some equipment from these guys, very happy with how professional everything was. Very friendly customer service, I am happy with the outcome and will definitely be using them again!

Do not use this business. Due to COVID-19 our party was postponed and this business took the entire fee from the security card the week before. Emails to the business have taken months and the business is nit picking over dates and numbers to justify taking the full fee as well as asking for another $200 to reschedule! I've lodged a formal complaint with Australian Consumer Affairs. Stay tuned.

Happy with Ultima at our wedding MC was perfect we had an awesome convocation and the wedding MC killed it with the names and then to top it off Ultima really had the right songs for the perfect moment on our wedding the DJ was just Amazing towards the end of the night

We hired Ultima photobooth and DJ/MC services for our April wedding. The service on the night was great - the music kept everyone on the dance floor all night and the photobooth was well used. The MCing was okay.

One star has been taken due to the dismal customer service and communication from the administration staff that had me genuinely worried that we weren't going to have a DJ/MC for the night. It was difficult to get confirmation of the booking, no information was communicated without me asking several times - like pulling teeth, honestly. I wrote up notes for the MC and sent them off unprompted, otherwise I have honestly no idea how they intended to MC the night.

Used the basic speakers and mike for our engagement. Worked perfectly and at a really great price

Firstly you guys were so nice and have amazing personality’s and helped out heaps, your DJ was spectacular and seemed to read the crowd effortlessly, then your photo booth was perfect, me and my friends pretty much were in and out of their all night while parting. We even received photo strips when the photo booth printed! We loved your dry ice and it really made my bridal waltz something to remember with all the amazing photos!

You guys had made the perfect day out for the bride!
The bridal party co-ordinated a surprise with a wedding gift! Dry Ice and Fireworks. It was beautiful and very well organised it had a great look and we got some great photos and memories out of it too!

Dj for my wedding and the dj was great. He played our entrance music at the perfect time! He was a great MC too. He had played the music list we had given him and all worked out perfectly. He had kept the music pumping and put nearly everyone on the dance floor I would recommend for anyone that’s looking to get a DJ and Wedding MC for there event

Such a great idea for big group events! Was able to arrange very last minute and service was wonderful! Easy to set up! Highly recommend

We hired DJ and Dry Ice for my wedding was he amazing! Right from the bridal waltz dance he had us all on the dance floor and we partied for a solid 3 ½ hours
Once we were too exhausted he would play a slow song and calm down the evening!
The Dry Ice looked beautiful and they delivered everything they promised. We had got spectacular photos all the way through the event

Rented 2 Subs for event! Were perfect for the amount of people and ran without any problems the entire day/night

Hiring the silent disco headphones was a blast all my family and members had loved the day especially when we found out we could flick through 3 channels for 3 types of music or even videos! It one of the best days of my life and just didn’t want it to end! And also the DJ that controlled channel 2 was also a blast! Even had his own little party group!

Booked karaoke for my Mother's birthday. Went way better than I could have ever hoped for! The DJ rocked at getting even my shy Mum up on the mic! They got what music she liked which is HARD! Thanks Ultima Music for a hilarious and the best 50th ever!

For our wedding we requested an ice machine to form part of our first dance. $325 was to cover the operator and the ice machine for approx 45 min. On the wedding day, Ultima Music called me 15 min prior to walking down the aisle to tell me they couldn’t find any dry ice for the machine.

They suggested an alternative and recommended a low fog machine for the exact same price. The operator arrived on the night and created a scene by acting rude to some of our guests and the machine itself caused the venue to look a smoke house! Unfortunately for us it ruined the photos.

No accountability and unprofessional business to work with.
