I have been using UK and Europe Travel since 2010 when Tracey first helped organise the hiring of a campervan for me in Germany over an extended period of time. I followed this up with another extended hiring in 2012 and a third in 2015. Her service was outstanding!
Tracey is currently assisting me with my 4th hiring and is going beyond the call of duty to facilitate my smooth arrival and pick-up of the van in Regensburg, Germany just a month away.
I have yet to be assisted by a travel agent who is as willing, competent and as hard-working as Tracey. I am continuously in awe as to how Tracey goes out of her way at any hour of the day or night, to answer a query I may pose, or to deal with a request I have for the attention of someone overseas.
Tracey has good contacts and I would not hesitate to use her again for any future similar trips. She and I have become good friends, despite our living on opposite sides of the country. I fully recommend her to you!

Quick to return calls after making enquiries! But seems to be a group of operators.

Well today is our last day of our 2019 European and Scandinavian Holiday. 76 days ago we left Australia for an adventure of a life-time and boy have we had a great time.

Our travels took us to Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Svalbard, Iceland and Holland. We have so many fond memories of things we saw, things we did and people we met.

It all started over 12 months ago, when a friend referred us to Tracey from UK and European Travel. Tracey, organised everything from the International Flights, (7) seven internal flights, the McRent Camper in Hamburg, Avis rent a car in Iceland, accommodation, (2) two Hurtigruten cruises etc. Tracey ensured we had adequate travel insurance cover, SIM cards from sim.corner which ensured we had phone and data coverage for the whole trip, 28 degree MasterCard which has no transaction fees for purchases or cash advances, provided her own personal maps and country guide books as well as map itineraries which made life so much easier and ensured we saw all the main tourist attractions.

Tracey was also extremely budget conscious to ensure we got the best value for money and she was always available by email or phone before and during our travels at all hours of the day and night, to ensure we were OK. Tracey also took an active interest in our travels and loved receiving photos, info and feedback during our travels. Seriously, we had a fairly tight and demanding itinerary but everything went to clock work with no hassles and we will be using Tracey for all our future travels and I would highly recommend you consider do so yourself, her attention to detail is second to none.

Our trip all started with a 35 day campervan holiday of Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Norway with the challenge of driving on the opposite side of the road but we got through the 5,500kms ok but what got use through was the quote – ‘Long left and tight right’ – helping us stay on the right side of the road lol. We drove on some extremely narrow roads, up some crazing winding roads, through hundreds of tunnels and crossed the fjords on a number of car ferries. It was some adventure. The landscape, fjords and waterfalls in Norway are overwhelming you just have to see them for yourself, no photo or video does them justice.

Then we went on a Hurtigruten Norwegian Cruise from Bergen to Kirkenes along the spectacular Norwegian coastline to the Russian border. We went on some amazing day trips and saw some spectacular scenery and wildlife. Food was great and we met some really nice people. The cabin was compact but nice, all part of the adventure.

We then flew to Longyearbyen and went on a Hurtigruten Polar Bear Expedition Cruise of to the top of Svalbard and we went as high north as the 80 degree mark and less then a 1000km from the North Pole. You really need to consider putting this place on your bucket list. It is raw wilderness at its best. This is polar bear country and on day zodiac land expeditions or on the outskirts of town you had to have a guide with a gun.

We then flew to Iceland on a self drive tour of the South Coast, Golden Circle and the West Coast of Iceland. This is a amazing place, the glaciers, the glacier ice in water and on the black sand. There are so many natural landscape features things to see especially waterfalls. The highlight was going on the jet boat expedition on Westman Island and seeing the Orca Whales feeding and the Puffin Birds.

We then flew to Holland to spend time with friends.

A campervan gives you total independence and you stop, do and see what you want, when you want without early starts or living out of hotels or a suitcase, long bus trips, short or no stops at places of interest. Our McRent Camper was modern with all the facilities such as a toilet, shower, cooking, refrigerator and powerful enough to get us some of the steepest mountains in the world. Scandinavia is really campervan friendly.

In terms of highlights there were so many and all thanks to Tracey from UK and Europe Travel, for giving us the gift of a trip of a life time.

We have now hired a camper from uk travel 6 times. We have always picked it up from the depot in Frankfurt (the depot is in a town called friedburg about 20 min bt train from Frankfurt main station) Its very easy to get there (but you do need to fo some homework). We have never had anything but absolutely the best service from uk and mcrent in Germany. Tracey and the girls in Melbourne are the best. Nothing is to big or small for them and i can vouch for this. Our 1st trip i was on the phone and sending emails like you wouldn't believe, even up till last year i would be on the phone. We have had to make claims with our insurance company for damages to the camper and i have had to get paperwork from Frankfurt for this (1 phone call to Tracey had this sorted and paperwork emailed to me the next day. They honestly go above and beyond to help people, they are actually the only travel agent that we use, as i do everything else myself. Unfortunately we won't be able to hire this year but hopefully we will be going in 2018. The campers are brand new and Randolph at the depot as is all the staff is excellent.

I have been using UK & Europe Travel for several years now and have always found Tracey to be extremely helpful. They go out of their way to make sure that you have every part of your journey explained in detail, make valid suggestions and always make sure every comfort is laid on, particularly for the elderly.
I will continue to use UK & Europe Travel for all my future holiday bookings and would certainly recommend this travel agency as competent and transparent in their dealings

We have used UK & Europe Travel both times that we have hired cars in Europe and we are extremely impressed with both the quality and value of the service they provide. The first time, we shopped around a lot because we needed a car for 4 months. We chose UK & Europe travel because they had the best rates - far better than dealing with the hire companies directly - and were able to provide specific advice for leasing vs hire and also insurance coverage. They were very prompt in responding to e-mail queries and were also available and personable when we phoned. The Renault Megane we were leased was a great car - very new. We drove it all over Europe and had no problems at all.
We have just returned from a trip to Europe where again used UK & Europe travel to hire a car for 3 weeks, requiring different location for pick up and drop off. Again, we shopped around and their prices were much better than dealing directly with the car rental companies. They also make hiring a car really easy because they e-mail you a proof of purchase for the car and insurance which you simply present at the car rental company when picking up the vehicle. Again, we had an excellent car, a Peugeot with very few kilometres. A problem that we had with the Avis employees trying to overcharge us was efficiently and professionally sorted out by UK and Europe travel. We will certainly use them again for future travel.

We organised a motorhome rental from April to July, 2015 and specifically requested a vehicle of of less than 6 metres since tolls in Norway, where we intended to travel a lot, are double for vehicles over 6 metres. We were told by email that there should be no problem with this, unless the vehicle reserved for us had been involved in an accident; but there was a BIG problem - we were given a 6.7metre vehicle on arrival at the Frankfurt depot. The toll difference was $420AUD which we had to pay. Indeed, the fine print of the contract does say the vehicle we book may not be the one provided, but we were told by Fiona that barring accidents we would have a vehicle under 6 metres
We were told, in bold font on our voucher material to ask for gas bottle adaptors but on arrival at the Frankfurt McRent office Wolfgang Phillipi told us that adaptors did not exist legally in German, or any European country. So we had two German gas bottles to last for for 3 months for heating, cooking and showering in the cold spring of Norway, Sweden and Denmark. To make sure we did not run out of gas for cooking we decided to shower in the facilities of the motorhome parks and not use gas to heat water to shower in the motorhome - cost on average 4 euros a day for three minute showers for 2 people. Cost approx. 132 euros for the trip. Compensation? NO.
We were told that a camping guide in English would be provided with the vehicle. No such thing happened and we were told to scrounge amongst the leftovers of previous renters to see if there was anything there of use to us!
We specifically requested a pick-up from the airport at 9.00am, even thought the flight arrived earlier we want to leave time to clear customs etc. We specifically asked Fiona, in an email to her, a copy of which we have, to send an email to this effect to McRent. From the copies of the emails I have from the company to McRent, all the information about the pick up was the flight number and arrival time. So we had more than some difficulty with the pickup. Just what we didn't need after a long flight.
I went to Fair Trading Qld in exasperation when Tracy told me in an email, copy of which I have, that she was tired of the issue.
The manager, Tracey, has told QLD Fair Trading that the Oresund Bridge toll is the same for vehicles under and over 6 metres which is handling the truth loosely. It is double! Check their website!
On the first night we had a serious water leak all over the floor of the vehicle. Next day I had to locate a McRent depot, drive there, wait for a repair - lost 1 day of the holiday. Compensation? NO!
She told Fair Trading Qld that when she asked for information she was not given it, but emails, for example detailing all ferry and bridge crossings were made available to her. Finally after months of email exchanges, and after I had taken the matter to Fair Trading Qld, the company offered $210 "as a gesture of good will. "
They obviously do not believe in any duty of care for their clients.
