Tyabb Packing House Antiques reviews
75 Interesting stroll back in time!
The shed contains a huge variety of art, antiques, furniture, glassware, jewelry, shabby chic items. A collector's Paradise!
Also houses a great movie memorabilia shop with life-size characters/heros for sale, for kids of ALL ages!
Indoor/ outdoor cafe, good coffee.
You can also wander around all the sheds and stores outside, and find a treasure or 2 - plus an Egyptian jeweler specialising in gold!
You can have a snack outside in a real red rattler!
Easy parking, easy to get to in the tiny town of Tyabb.
Well worth a visit
Horribly rude and aggressive about facemask rules even when I explained I had a medical exemption. Told if I was “That Sick” I should stay home. Would not listen to me or look at my doctors letter. Do not support these people who discriminate against the disabled.
Fascinating, this place is both a massive range of beautiful antiques and equally a museum. My favourite shop here is #18 the Art Deco heaven.
Love browsing here. Has a large selection of goods but do your homework if buying more expensive antiques
Pretty huge variety of things from archival, exhibition type pieces to Deco and popular culture collectibles. Everything is in pristine condition al though Congress with a hefty price tag.
Fascinating, lots of antique bargains! Make a day of it, so relaxing and l think we should all step back in time to remind us of the simpler life once in a while.
Interesting place to have a look-see. Plenty of curios and collectibles if you’re into this kind of thing. From couple of dollars to several hundred dollars items for sale. The outdoor shops are quaint and there’s a safe housed in a decommissioned railway carriage. Great place to spend an hour or two.
We go there once a month love wandering around looking at the antiques sometimes we buy something and get a cuppa coffee
Can definitely loose a couple of hours wondering around looking for treasures and have a bite to eat at the of the cafes there
On a rainy day this is a pleasant place to browse. You'll find a total mixture of older items as per: jewellery, beds, furniture, books, cameras, & cutlery et cetera.
The packing house basically rents out space to various people & many aren't in attendance. Its hard to ask questions directly but it wouldnt surprise me if the front desk has each person's phone number.
It would be a great place to browse if you are trying to obtain items for an older style art deco flat or victorian house. There are a lot of cheaper nick nacks which are a bit of harmless fun.
The cafe serves good food & staff are polite. There is also a cafe in a restored train & the coffee was reasonable.
Basically this is a good place to go.
Good service at the packing house but in the Cafe the service can be better because me and my friend have to wait about 10 minutes for our coffees and our Lunch.
Been coming here for over 30 years. Multiple antique stores in the one building plus more buildings behind it. Great collection of DVDs and movie memorabilia in the centre of the main building. Thousands of books, model trains and photography equipment too.
So many old things to look at. Great prices. The carriage Cafe serves great food and drinks and is worth a visit if you go.
An excellent, if somewhat expensive location to explore. The smaller traders surrounding the Packing House seem to take cash only. The restaurant in the Packing House serves lovely home style chips! Excellent range of books antiques and knock knacks. Great place for the Baby Boomer is get lost in memories.and spend lots on memorabilia. Well worth the time and distance to travel and visit.
To be honest, I was a bit disappointed this time around. There is alot more new stuff in there & why do you need a pet section?
One of the best antique areas i have been to. Lots to look at and otber nearby antique places add to make the day trip worth it.
Filled with antiques and memorabilia you're not likely to have seen for many years. A lve walk down memory lane! Staff and stall holders are exceptionally friendly. Ample parking and ammenites.
This place has so many well set up stores. Antiques from many eras, it is a collectors dream. The front counter has knowledgeable staff who can usually send you in the right direction. Spaces are not crammed and easy to view items. I never leave exploring the old wares in under an hour. Plenty of car parking and finish with coffee.
Even the books are beautifully categorised. I have been here for several times and always loved it. There are a lot of little things that you might find and can’t help to take home - of course you need to pay for it. It is a beautiful antique world.
I always enjoy it here every single time. The sellers are always lovely and helpful.
Unreal place. Couldn't believe that was so big a place to look around.very interesting place to visit.
