Two Fat Indians Restaurant Food Truck reviews
30 Thought we'd try this place tonight. Seemed decent, vegan options. A little shocked to how watery the dishes were, I got the vindaloo and my partner got the chickpea curry. After the food had cooled down after about 5-7 minutes it had no flavour like the curry had been strained with water or something.
I thought about it, unless you're cooking 3 different vindaloos, how can you offer 3 different spice levels? Makes sense now.
The cheese naan wasn't bad. The curry has a long way to go to be worth $25 each. Sorry guys.
Solid Indian! And their food held up even when delivered. The samosas were the best I'd eaten. Chicken tikka thighs were bomb also.
One of the best indian places I've ever been to! Best vegan curries! They were so lovely and accommodating to my vegan dietary requirements. As we were going to the AFL game, they had a buffet dinner on and only had 1 vegan curry option as part of the buffet (you couldn't order off the normal menu, because of the semi-final night). I didn't even ask or suggest that there was little options (honestly I didn't even think of it, just happy to have 1 vegan option), but the lovely lady serving us (when I asked if the vegan option was labelled at the buffet bar) immediately offered a second vegan curry so that I could have another curry option and gave me some vegan roti all no extra charge. Honestly, I've never been to a place (that isn't vegan) that was this accommodating! I really appreciated it and highly recommend supporting this business.
Ordered Paneer Tikka masala. Was delivered Chicken Tikka masala that too watery under cooked gravy. Chicken want even Tikka. As it was a takeawa, It wasn't even refunded when informed them.
Rotis were also under cooked.
Overall a bad experience.
And let's not forget the menu isn't cheap.
Best Butter Chicken & Garlic Naan I’ve ever eaten. Tastes fresh and clean, doesn’t leave an oily after taste. It’s lighter than any others I’ve eaten. Highly recommend!
What can I say! This cozy restaurant has left the best impression! Hospitable host, delicious dishes and beautiful presentation! The food is absolutely amazing, everything we tasted melted in our mouth. We we’re very impressed with the food especially the curries. Highly recommend
You would think Indians cooking Indian would get the flavours right? Nope.there food is truly disgusting.they have there nerve to charge people over $20 for a curry. Naan $4. You kidding me. Their the worst by far, Avoid this place. 1 of the worst in Melbourne.
Spectacular every time! We love the butter chicken and cheese naan. The meats used are big chunks of quality cuts that shines through the dishes. Services is pretty good and efficient too.
Used to love this place. Went to order tonight, waited two hours on uber eats, for them to cancel our order.
LOVE THIS PLACE! I've ordered from here on meal delivery services twice and their butter chicken has an OUTSTANDING smoky flavour, unparalleled by any other I've tasted. They know how to make an Aussie level mild curry and can still turn up the heat just right! I would give a 5 except that both times our orders were missing 1 item (it was printed correctly on the order ticket attached to our bag so definitely the fault of the restaurant not delivery partner). Not enough to turn me away because their response to issues is outstanding!
Hands down the best rogan josh thats blessed my taste buds. Walking distance to the MCG, my new dinner & drinks option pre footy. Go blues
Justifies the reputation. Absolutely outstanding food, great service and reasonable prices. Licenced and byo, I will return!
Had the pleasure of eating both takeaway and in the restaurant. The food is fantastic, as is the service.
Serving up all of the classics and a few I had never seen (but can highly recommend).
Best Indian food in Melbourne? Highly probable.
Really good Indian food and perfect service.
We ordered take away and got a note on the delivery that they sold out the salad, instead
Of that we got some free sides!
They were delicious!
The best korma I had in Melbourne! I even taste it in my dreams. I actually lost the name of the restaurant then went again to look for it. Thank god I found it.
Fantastic restaurant! The Indian food is great. Our four children are very fussy and never want us ordering Indian food yet when they tried TFI, they all loved it and won't hesitate to go back. Thank you for such a divine time there.
Had the butter chicken and rice, it was alright, but wasn't bad either, im indian and have had way better butter chicken, the curry here was more watery than creamy
Food was ok. Tables in the restaurant felt very sticky and dirty. The restaurant in general needs a very good clean.
Ordered takeout for the first time and very disappointed with the quality and flavour of both the curries and the starters. Threw most of it in the bin. Would not recommend if you know what a good curry should taste like!
Please don't dodge your customers by putting excessive Garam masala as a substitute to proper spices and flavours. I've never had anything worst then the food I had at your resturant (to go) which is a insult to Indian food. I'm surprised your overall ratings are still high comparing to the quality and the taste of your restaurant's food. An utter disappointment.
