Two Doors Brewing reviews
24The food is just delicious. Toast with chilli butter and the burgers. Not sure if four beers first had anything to do with it!
Great spot for drinks and snacks. Have been many times and again when they celebrated their 1 year trading anniversary. Congratulations, easy night with acoustic music, Ethan Conway, warm environment and lovely staff. Would recommend dropping in anytime.
Great spot for drinks and snacks. Have been many times and again when they celebrated their 1 year trading anniversary. Congratulations, easy night with acoustic music, Ethan Conway, warm environment and lovely staff. Would recommend dripping in anytime.
I live 2 suburbs away but this has fast become my local as whoever I bring here are always impressed.
Beers we had were all really good. But why wouldn’t you offer a tasting paddle? They’re quite popular you know? !
Staff provided service but were clearly having an off day
We didn’t eat but all the plates we saw looked delicious and people around us were clearly enjoying them
Glad to have a brewery near a train station! Walk there, train home! Exercise and beer combined
Thrilled to stumble across a brew-pub in this suburb. Location and looks (the bar area looks absolutely stunning) aside it’s a misfire. The beers I tried were thin and unexciting; especially for the price, and the food, yikes… way overpriced for what was delivered. I may give it another go in 6-12 months but with so many other great options to choose from it’s not a certainty. Pity
We recently had the pleasure of visiting Two Doors Brewery and enjoyed this local new experience in Ashburton. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We visited the brewery after a disappointing experience at another local bar, Oydis, but I am so glad that we decided to pop into Two Doors Brewery instead.
They were able to accommodate our party without any issues and ensured that we had everything we needed. The space was fantastic, and the service was as it should be for a local - warm and inviting.
We appreciate the fact that the staff at Two Doors Brewery truly understand the importance of customer service and hospitality.
Overall, we would highly recommend Two Doors Brewery to anyone looking for a great local spot with delicious beers, cocktails, wines, a fantastic vibe, and wonderful service. They truly understand the importance of providing a positive customer experience and can't wait to visit again soon.
A fantastic place to find and enjoy some tasty brews. The selection is always great and rain, hail or shine you'll find a pint to match your mood.
Good atmosphere. Beers are somewhat naive and thin relative to the styles proving popular elsewhere. May improver time.
Great little brew pub. The selection was not quite what I usually order (I like my beers really hoppy), but their beers were still very enjoyable, the food tasty and the service amazing! They clearly know what they are doing, and if you ask how they do it they'll tell you all about it too. I'll definitely go back there when I'm in the area!
Great little local bar, loving the three zones. Modern decor. Delicious bar snack food. Recommend giving them a go!
Beers are on the high expensive side and I'm unable to identify anything that justifys the above par cost. Would love something more affordable on the drinks menu that aligns with other bars this side of the city. Ambience is lacking and needs some warmth and cosyness. Food menu left me disappointed and honestly a little ripped off considering the cost for what I got.
Look, the only pragmatic way to review a brewey's tap room is to rate one of their offerings. I chose the Mandarina Bavaria Pale Ale, 4.6%, because I LOVE hoppy ales.
Take a sip and hold in your mouth without swallowing, and a soft fruitiness (peach? , nectarine?) spreads over your upper palate. When you swallow, you get a gush of tart, tangy fruit across and down your top and back palates. The fruit, it's not acid/citrus but more stone fruit. It gives a great gulp effect as it slides down your gullet. Delicious. Sweet is low, tart is high. Oh, did I mention the bitter, it's standout, firm and lasting. Chatted to Andy the brewer, no mandarins in this ale, that's just the name of the Bavarian hops. Would you session this one? Oh yeah, it's handily on tap, nice courtyard out the back, and I can walk home. Pour me another, please. Score 9.8
Oh, and Karin, for someone who doesn't drink beer, really enjoyed the Wild Berry Sour at 4.6%.
Such a lovely addition to the local shops! Friendly staff, nice nibbles and decor. Beers were good! Simple but nice cocktails. Could do with some music! Will definitely be back!
Highly recommended. Great selection of seasonal craft beers. Friendly service and tasteful decor.
Great beers and a convivial atmosphere. Two Doors has the making of a local - just what Ashburton needs! Well done to Andy and team:)
Delicious selection of handcrafted beers with a warm and relaxed atmosphere. This is definitely worth checking out. Thanks for having us and for giving Ashburton the new local it deserves. I’ll definitely be back soon.
Rachel and Andy are truly the epitome of hospitality.
They are passionate about providing a good product and the service they provide.
Finally. A local brewery/bar in Ashburton! Went and checked it out a couple of weeks ago and a quaint and friendly setup. Great lager and would highly recommend the GSM. The food options were also very good, from shoe string fries to arancini and sardines with toast, and more. The owners Andy and Rachel were terrific and made the three of us feel very welcomed, and the two of them are very passionate. Young and friendly staff too. Some more menu's, signage for toilet/toilets and perhaps a sign letting people know where they need to pay via card (there was a small machine in the middle of the bar) might also help patrons know to avoid any confusion. Look forward to supporting this business more and making it a local. Would highly recommend and keep up the great work Andy and Rachel! Cheers & thanks - Raman.
Anton made our drinks for my friend (Will) and I the other night, which were lovely, we had splendid time here! Thank you to Anton and your team!
