Turf Sports Bar Melbourne reviews
40Recommended this place and met a friend there. Big mistake. Wednesday Parma night.interesting, take a supermarket schnitzel and over cook it. Get charged extra for asking for "lots of chilli" only for it to be as bland as can be, with zero spice. Wine very over priced. Disappointing.
Won't eat here again. Went for a work function and ordered a pizza, but without olives. Pizza came, with olives. Politely told the waitress and mentioned I'd pick them off if their smell/taste didn't permeate through the whole pizza and was offered a new one. Same pizza came back 5 mins later with olives picked off, still reeking of olives. I mean really, I'm not 5. Staff clearly just don't care.
Went to 11 inch pizza down the road on the way home, so much better. I'd recommend doing the same.
Great pama, nice and fresh and not too big. Chips were hot and salad was great only a little dressing on it which is great. Had the Buffalo pama which was nice plenty to try there so will be going back to try them all
The bars nice the food we had was fine and came quickly for how busy they were, the staff were friendly. But if you want a Rugby World Cup venue don't trust the signs on the window, all through the bar and the shirts all of the staff are wearing. They didn't show the opening ceremony and the first game they had on a TV the size of the TV in my house in an awkward spot. 100% do not recommend for a RWC venue.
Great iconic venue, thought it be the ideal place for lazy Saturday afternoon, but all those tv’s to watch and all with the same sport being shown, a turf bar with no races being shown and staff who refused to change the channel, our money went elsewhere.
It’s a good sports bar with multiple screens and few separate rooms with big projectors and bar at the centre. Also you have far too food options for a bar (and for vegetarians) ️
You have daily deals of pizza/pasta and pot. Good deals on beers. 4 pines, furphy, carlton and couple more are available on tap.
Would definitely come back
Too many AFL games on the screens!
Decent sports bar with plenty of TV's for sport's.good customer service and friendly bartenders.
Great pub with with plenty screens to catch up on loads of sports.
The food and drink is fairly priced for the city, and theres plenty staff behind the bar.i'd like to see a better selection of craft beer, but they do have a few on tap.
Fantastic sports bar. Great beer, great food. Go for the Reuben, my favorite. Ideal place to watch rugby or AFL.
Hasn't changed, good old "local feel" pub, watch sports, hang out with friends, a bit dark and dull, but some people would be in to that feel
This place is a standard pub, with food and drinks to match, but in the heart of Melbourne CBD. As a bonus, it has sports screens all over the place. Pricing reasonable. Little bottles of water inside the front door is a nice touch on a hot day
Really nice feel about this bar. Good atmosphere and the service is excellent. We came in a group and all had something from the parma variety. They were quite average parmas for the price you pay. I will return but won't be ordering the parma next time.
The porterhouse was very flavourful paired with a potent yet delicious red shiraz. Friendly service and very pleasant atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon. Highly recommend!
Plenty of big screens and projectors, food is good and some drinks specials. Great place to catch the footy, league and union at the same time.
If you like sport then this is the place to be. They show almost all sports. And if you need a place to watch the Grand final of the FIFA world cup in soccer, then Ill say this could be the place to be. Located right in the heart of Melbourne CBD.
They do great pub food during the week and weekly specials and its not small portions. If you're hungry ill recommend the Indian Chicken Parma.sooo good.
Or share a portion of BBQ Soy Chicken wings with your mate or better half and don't forget to order Blue Cheese dipping sauce with that.
Friendly staff, good food, heaps of different beers on tap including Guinness. Plus when they ain't busy showing big games, then they'll pull out 2 pool tables! (most times anyway ;) Great Pub!
Oh btw, Wednesday night is Uni/ Backpacker- night so free pool table from 7pm, DJ from 9-10pm & $ 6 drinks specials and friday happy hour from 4 - 7 (I believe it is).
Check it out:)
Awesome Value, Huge servings, great price, and really tasty. Service is ok, sports channels are limited to 3 at a time.
Great sports bar. Good happy hour, and it's a great place to watch the rugby. Hard to beat in a Friday after work.
Great Irish owned sports bar. Very warm interior and hospitality. Huge screens to watch your favourite sport.
Have been enjoying $15 lunch special steak on Mondays, it is a good deal if you are not fussy with the sometimes medium (after ordering medium rare) sometimes medium rare (after ordering medium) imperfection.
Absolutly love it here. The food is really good and is just traditional pub food that doesn't try too hard, it just hits the stop. On top of this there is a good selection of beers on tap and the staff are always friendly.
Overall an excellent spot to go for a few drinks or a quiet pub meal
