Turbine at The Trawool Estate

Turbine at Trawool Estate is a beautiful space that has a great atmosphere and feels like a nice escape for a romantic dinner. The chef's menu is the only thing to order which Consists of a good selection of started mains and sides. The only options are the main itself and the deserts. Drinks list is decent without being fancy and the service is friendly although not attentive or fast. You may be left waiting or wanting, but the staff are helpful and friendly. The food here is ok but not great. Flavours are a bit bland and spice is a key in most dishes, but nothing exciting. Serving sizes are good and you won't leave hungry though, just not satisfied.

From the moment we walked into reception to entering TURBINE with the beautiful staff welcoming us and the delicious smells filling the space. Our waiter Sunnys knowledge of the menu, ingredients and cooking techniques was amazing and just enhanced our whole experience. Was a wonderful night of new foods and wicked drinks. We had a blast and can’t wait to be back.

What an amazing experience. The grounds of Trawool Estate are magnificent, with Turbine tucked away behind some black out curtains (at least for our dining experience).

From start to finish, we were treated with a 5 star service from our waiter, Sandeep. Knowledgeable, friendly, the right about of attentiveness. The cocktails were delicious, but when we got our food brought out - the flavours definitely out of this world.

The beef cheek rendang was so soft and tender, the spices, juices and aroma probably some of the best we've had. The pacing for the set menu was also spot on, as were the serving sizes.

Thank you to the whole team for making this such a pleasant surprise, and an experience that we would come back for! Oh, and they didn't even ask for a tip as most restaurants try to nudge you with a "Press Yes or No if you would like to leave a tip".

We will be back, and this type of service is the reason why diners will keep coming back for me! Thank you!
