Truganina College is an incredible and phenomenal school where students have the opportunity to strive towards excellence in their academic excellence through their journey of learning. Teachers provide and engage students in challenging learning experiences that students complete with persistence and an outstanding amount of effort. Students have the chance to get extended and grow by the involvement in VHAP, Enrichment, LLI and many more. The learning opportunities are endless and from everyday learning experiences students grow in their knowledge. I feel very thankful and lucky to have an education and the opportunity to extend in VHAP.

Truganina College provides amazing sports facilities that students participate in. The unique sports taught by physical health and education teachers encourages students to participate in their interested sport of choice. The facilities that are provided includes soccer balls, basket balls, tennis rackets, cricket bats and stumps, hockey equipment and some grades have the chance to go swimming. Students demonstrate the school value, responsibility by being sunsmart and always being safe and orderly when using PE equipment. In our wonderful school we have a gymnasium used for the sports taught by our teachers and a community oval located next to our humble school. Students here at Truganina College have many opportunities to get chosen in sport that includes regionals, gala day and many more. I absolutely can’t wait to learn to sports that will contribute to sportsmanship.

Here at Truganina College we are known for our diversity, we are a school we’re everyone belongs. This school makes students, teachers, staff members and families feel welcomed, included and valued. Teachers are very supportive and give excellent tips and feedback when needed and support students through difficult and hindered times. Teachers are very approachable and understanding and promote inclusive learning environments, where all students feel cared for and safe. All teachers assist us in our learning and help us in what we find challenging. I am very lucky to have amazing, remarkable teachers that support me every step I take and I am confident that Truganina College will be the right place for many others to grow. As I student here at Truganina College I feel constantly valued and I highly recommend this school for many others.

Its been my sons school since grade 1 and now he is in grade 6. Has been an excellent journey. His teachers have been very supportive. He has been envouraged to perform well by being awarded in the assembly with parents being invited. Was awarded a school jacket as a gift too. Even got an opportunity to attend the ice hockey tournament for full attendance in term 3. Overall very happy with how the school encourages to perform better in all stream.

Overall a great school, it’s organised and well mannered approaches to achieving high academic standards consistently for students in literacy and numeracy are a great factor for choosing this school. The Teachers and their teaching methods suit all students regardless of their academic ability. Good opportunities for extension students like the Enrichment and VHAP programs really help build consist results and extend learning goals.

This school is one of the worst experiences I have had. The kids are very violent and there have been incidents that involve police and ambulance. Tons of teachers are leaving this school aswell due to student behaviour and there is a teacher shortage. If I had the chance I would’ve put 0 stars however I couldn’t. I recommend that you should not go to this school.

I’ll be honest this school has been an abhorrent experience for me; from random fights to police and emergency services coming to the school I do not know why anyone would like to come to this school happy everyday. If you have the opportunity please enrol at another school you won’t realise until it’s too late.

A school where they say bullying is Zero Tolerance Ha! Yeah Whatever! Investigate? Investigate what? Teach the students how to solve it between one another? What a laughing stock! That ain't gonna solve anything. School Gates open early & all classrooms are closed including the office ‍️ while those kids are standing out there freezing to death‍️ & some parents find it difficult to login into compass to pay for their kids trip, so they have to go to the office to pay & what do you know office opens at 8.30am. It actually doesn't not even their phone line opens at 8.30 - 9am so don't bother ringing in ‍️ this school needs to update their system and the way they run it. My son comes home saying his teacher yells at the classroom and he's too scared to hand in his homework knowing the teacher is constantly yelling at the classroom, is this what the teachers at Truganina P9 College teaching our kids? Wow! Update your school system and retrain your teachers! Because my kids come home saying they learnt nothing.

I will first start off with the pros, most teachers are nice and usually get along with students.there is alot of diversity.i will now present my cons, the school almost does nothing about bullying and students almost always reoffend.the canteen is overpriced.the school barely ever enforces its values on the students.and some students get more attention than others.in my opinion most of these reviews are fake and please do not bring your child here

We sent my younger brother to this school from yr 7-9 and unfortunately in his last year things escalated and we faced significant issues. During a meeting with two of the teachers my mother was mocked about how she had raised her son. The teacher was angry that we had not given him harsh consequences for his actions, that is not how my parents raise their kids they use communication and take a calmer approach so the child learns a lesson not give them harsh punishments and anger or upset them even more. The teacher, I believe her name was Tania had no right to disrespect and insult someone else's parenting style just because it wasn't her way of raising kids. The way both her and the acting principle for yr9 treated my younger brother was over the top leaving him distraught and wanting to drop out of schooling completely.
Instead of encouraging them with their education these two teachers have ruined his experience. Luckily this was his final week or else we would never ever send him or any future nephews and neices here. I left the meeting upset as a result of how they treated my elderly mother. I hope the school trains the teachers on how to resolve conflicts and how to talk to another human being with some decency.
Our experience here was appalling to say the least.

An Amazing School!

I have been studying in this school for more than 2 years now,
and its absolutely amazing, and I know the teachers work very hard, they deserve more appreciation. I highly recommend this school for you're children.

A REPLY TO LOW REVIEWS

1. Now, I have seen some low reviews about this school, saying that there is a "bullying" problem with the school and kids are upset about this. Now yes, bullying is a very bad problem in EVERY school. I recommend this is you're child/ren are getting bullied: Just have a chat to the teacher whose student is harming you're child. You can't just blame a school for one single person! This school deserves better.

2. People say that the Principal is greedy for money, also because
the canteen's price is increasing. Well, the reason why students are having to pay more for this school is because the Principal NEEDS it. The Principal pays for all the furniture in this school, the Principal also needs the money to pay the teachers, what is the point of being a teacher if you won't earn money? !

3. Some students are saying that they dont have enough stationary,
well, you should be grateful you have any stationary at all! You Know, some schools don't even have stationary for they're students, you should be thankful you're lucky enough.

4. Also, I've been seeing some complaints about teachers who don't really teach and do anything related on what teachers are supposed to do. People are even suing this school all for those teachers- Well, this school is not the problem, It is the teacher's fault. Most likely they are only there for the money, now, how do we fix this? Remember, you can always give the Principal a call about this.

Hello! I have been attending this school for about 2 and a half years. These are my pros and cons.

Pros:
Most teachers are very nice and know how to teach PERFECTLY, the school is big and very flexible, the playgrounds are perfect for children!

Cons:
Some teachers are very selfish and don't teach to curriculum expectations, Too much bullying and swearing! I've seen a Grade 5 boy literally HARRASS a girl.my last con: The classes are too small.
Thank you for reading. Goodbye! This school is good for a child who can endure this stuff.

Awful school. Total lack of leadership and accountability within teachers, students essentially ran the place and year 9s were not who should have responsible for anything. Selfish teachers, putting themselves before kids, no control, no consequences. Would like to think it's improved slightly but would not hold my breath.
