Treviso Bar & Dining reviews
27Shockingly bad food. I had the Morton Bay Bug and Prawn Risotto. I’m pretty sure the prawns came from frozen. Don’t think they used Arborio rice. The sauce lacked flavour, and it came out soupy. The waitress was also super pushy. Wouldn’t listen, kept trying to upsell us and get us to buy other things. Thankfully the place was packed and the atmosphere was great. But wow the food was not good. Not worth it. Do not recommend. My friends pizza was also very sub par both in look and flavour. Good luck.
Beautiful smokey trout.
Just divine seafood scallop, safron taglotelly pasta
Very Popular presently spiced pizza.
Service most attentive.
Would take a service Point off for clearing share plate to early.
Noise level moderately high but nice, interesting surroundings. Lunch business crowd.
Loved ever bit of this restaurant, from the downstairs basement entry, to the professional service, and excellent dishes.
Fantastic Italian Restaurant with lots of fresh specials and great wine. Open for Lunch only but a great busy atmosphere, excellent food and attentive service. We loved it!
Our waiter Rupert was superb! The pizzas and wine were amazing too. Thank you for hosting us Treviso.
Excellent location for lunch while having a business meeting.
Staff are extremely courteous, and the Owners were extremely pleasant and welcoming.
The gnocchi was fresh, and filled with flavour.
Fries were also spot on, with an ample amount of seasoning.
A spot worth trying just off Collins Street!
Other than the fact they have a pizza on offer named "The Call Girl" (sorry what year is this!) I would recommend Treviso for creating a cosy feel in roomy surroundings and offering absolutely delicious food. Starters to share of foccacia and stuffed olives. Followed by spaghetti aglio e olio (minus bacon). While others had linguine de mare, the daily fish special (crumbed garfish) and Diavola pizza (Chili, salami etc). And to share crispy fries and pear and rocket salad. However disappointingly 2 of the 4 desserts on offer were unavailable and they had also run out of Muscat. But would go back.
We had such a beautiful greeting given we came in unexpectedly and dressed in high vis work gear but we were made to feel very welcome. The food was fantastic with amazing service by the friendly staff. We will definitely come back when we are back in Melbourne.
I have had the pleasure of visiting Treviso a few times and it never disappoints. As soon as you walk down the stairs you’re met with a vibrant atmosphere. Great food (make sure to check the specials of the week), followed with a good wine list to match. Staff are welcoming and friendly.
Make sure to book to avoid disappointment, it sure does get busy…enjoy!
What a beautiful and wonderful atmosphere. So genuine and generous in service and food. We discovered our highlight visiting Melbourne and will recommend to others to visit Treviso. A MUST on your travels to the City of Melbourne.
Awesome service! The waiter was super friendly and attentive to all small details! We will be back again!
Went as a table of four on a Friday lunch. Being close to Christmas it was very busy but the service was still excellent, were never waiting too long for anything. Noise levels were moderate given it was packed, is a nice setting. Our table was two smaller round ones put together which wasn't really ideal for fitting our drinks and shared starters on, but made do. The starters (polenta chips, bruschetta and another sausage one - forget the name) were all excellent. My main was the Duck and Mushroom Gnocchi. Didn't have as much flavour as I hoped and did chow down on a bone - but outside of that was a good meal.
Italian at its best. Pasta to die for. Great spot for a weekday business lunch, just don't expect to get much done in the afternoon with that wine list!
A hidden gem on the bylanes of Little Collin street.
Great service, a rare in Melbourne. Food quality is great
Tried the Saltimbocco chicken, was tender and flavourful
They have a great selection of wines and beers
This is a lovely place. We dropped in for a quick bite, no one in the restaurant, well within 15-20 minutes the place was full and buzzing. Meals came out quickly, well presented, and delicious. Very pleasant and they obviously have a good following. This is a place to go back, broab menu, great wine list.
We feel into here by accident on our first night in Melbourne. It was so good we came back on our 4th night. The risotto was incredible.

Devine!
It took me back to when I was in Treviso, dining in a quaint restaurant!
The food here was done to perfection.simple with quality produce. We shared the Burrata salad and I had the crab linguine.
Definitely be coming back!
This place is brilliant. I love basment restaurants. Where else in Melb would you find Pork Cheek on as a Special. Here is where. Absolutely delicious. So soft and tender. The Apple Crumble tart was divine. A perfect way to finish my meal. Prices are reasonable. The wine list is extensive and the atmosphere is amazing. Highly recommended, Best lunch in town by a long shot
It was great to be back at Treviso- I had the gnocchi ragu which was fantastic! Plus great service
