Perry and his team were amazing. I came to him after a rave review from my cousin-in-law with extremely late notice, my wedding only a few weeks away due to an issue with another tailor. He was able to accommodate me flexibly with many fittings, appointments, and was always available and willing to help on the phone or in person and we managed to pull off a half dozen fitted suits.
Lifesaver, and reasonably priced for an experienced career tailor who can provide in-depth advice on style, fashion and details. Would HIIGHLY recommend.

What a wonderful experience! I walked in for a last-minute suit for a wedding, and they didn’t hesitate to help me. It was a fun experience as well, since one of his long-time customers came in and gave some color commentary along the way. The outfit turned out better than I could have imagined.

I have been attending upon Paresh for years in order to have traditional western style suits made for my corporate attire as well as sports jackets. They still exist 10 years later. When I had to arrange wedding suits in the Indian style (a Shevani), Paresh was man to consult.

Paresh designed, crafted, tailored and fitted a Shevani for myself and my father and brother in order to attend my wedding. The Shevani’s were wonderfully made with my (now) Australian/Indian in laws claiming how wonderful such Shevani’s were. Said Australian/Indian in laws were asking how/who made them as they were suitably impressed.

Highly recommend Paresh for all styles of suits.

What a joy it was to deal with Perry Valente. After several attempts to buy at conventional suit stores, my son and I decided to call Travellers Apparel and spoke with Perry. We explained that my son was 189cm tall, had long arms and suits off the rack were typically hard to find. He invited us to visit his work premises in Collingwood. The experience that afternoon was unbelievable. Old school! Perry fitted my son with different jacket and trouser sizes, he explained the tailoring he would need to perform and after an hour of customising, we felt we had the right suit and the right tailor. Within a week the suit, 3 shirts and a tie Perry gifted, were personally delivered to our home. Yep, straight to the door! All for a very competitive price. The experience was beyond our expectations and they great thing is, my son now has someone to rely on when ordering suits and shirts well into the future. Brilliant service, years of expert advice at “NON- Hollywood” prices!

Have been going to Travellers for many years, and gosh, what a service it has always been. Excellent quality suits made right here in Melbourne, and all very reasonably priced. I have generally bought one suit a year the last decade and have never been disappointed. A great local business to support.

After going to multiple suit stores in search of a suit for my wedding, a friend recommended that I go to Traveller's Apparel and I'm so glad that I did.

The suits are incredibly well priced and of high quality. With fantastic customer service and alterations included, I will be back the next time I'm looking for a suit. They also have some great shirts and ties.

Great quality suits, tailored on site. Most are around $550 complete! Cannot beat the service and value at this hidden gem.

Sadly, I've had a really disappointing experience with these guys' service.

I'd heard great things from in-laws and was keen to try it out. Went in for my wedding suit but they didn't have the colour I was after - which is fine. But total disinterest from staff in helping me find a solution. "This is what we have" kind of attitude, with one option offered.

OK, no worries. I bought the suit elsewhere and called to ask if I could bring it in for tailoring (which I'd also heard great things about) Yep, please do. So, I take time off today to bring it in and the same guy I first dealt with rolls his eyes and tells me they don't do that. "We're already busy enough tailoring our own suits".

I explained how the person on the phone had invited me to bring the suit in for tailoring and the man said they must have not understood what I wanted. I thought it was pretty clear: "Can you tailor a suit that I bought at a different store? " "Yes, absolutely".

Overall a condescending, disinterested attitude. Atmosphere felt like I was walking into a place I shouldn't have each time I entered the store. It's a shame, because I really wanted to love this place and find a regular local for future suit purchases.

Purchased 3 suits which were made to fit (couldn't get any that fitted off the rack, even with altering) and some shirts. Price ended up a bit over $1,000 per suit but still competitive against many other tailors in Melbourne.

It took quite a few fittings (probably 5 or 6) before the suits and shirts fitted properly. Suits are made on site, whereas the shirts are ordered from China (?) which means they can take a while to get adjustments done.

The suits fit quite well, there were a couple of things with one that I wanted fixed but after two more fittings decided it wasn't going to get any better but to be fair the issues were quite minor.

Overall, not all that cheap and quite a lot of time spent with fittings but the suits fit better than anything I would've bought off the rack in Aus. Shirts are a lot more difficult to get right, would probably buy elsewhere in the future.

If you want to buy something off the rack and not get it made from scratch the suits are good quality and generally well priced.

Bought a suit from the rack and had it altered to my dimensions. The suit is well made, and well fitted. Had a waistcoat made, which was fitted well and nicely put together. Had several fittings for both and they were happy to keep adjusting until the fit was perfect.
