I enjoyed the gym. However, the customer service left a lot to be desired. I went to cancel my membership. I was quoted a cancellation fee of $33.40. However, after multiple attempts to cancel via email I called and spoke to John the manager who instead charged me $52 to cancel. He blamed the quote error on a staff mistake. Any good business with a customer service focus would honour the amount quoted rather than forcing the customer to eat up their mistakes. Poor form and will look for another gym on my return to Melbourne.

Good gym with friendly staff and all the equipment required. Weights downstairs and cardio and gym machines upstairs. If you're in need of a good PT make sure to see Will @get2itfit

THIS PLACE WILL NOT LET YOU CANCEL they believe in lying and making you go on a wild goose chase just so they can keep getting your money each week. Every-time I went in to cancel they had a different excuse and apparently my membership was cancelled then all of sudden I owe 150 bucks out of no where. If you enjoy getting scammed and getting money unknowingly stolen from from your pocket for months you have come to the right place!

WILL NOT LET YOU CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP

Have had the worst experience trying to cancel a membership at this gym. What seems like a simple request has turned into a nightmare.
When we first tried to cancel our memberships they would not allow us to do so because it was not in person, so they put us on a ‘hold’ for 3 months. After the 3 months was up there was no email sent out to notify us our membership was being taken off hold. They proceeded to charge us for months without our knowledge - never emailing receipt of payment when they would direct debit our cards, so we had no knowledge they were direct debiting us this entire time.
Upon realising they were still charging us my partner went into the Prahran location to cancel membership where he was told his membership was cancelled and he couldn’t cancel my membership as I had to go in, in person (which I cannot do as I work 6 days a week). He then went in again and was told to contact St Kilda to cancel membership - could never get in touch with phone number provided. Then my partner went back into Prahran only to be told his membership hadn’t been cancelled and he owed money to the gym. This whole debacle taking a month whilst they were STILL charging us.

My partner then had a meeting with the manager where they threatened him to call the Sherriff if he did not pay the owing amount - when he didn’t owe anything! We haven't used the gym in 8 months! And all we have tried to do is cancel this membership. They would not even provide a refund of what they have charged over the past month we have tried to cancel the membership.

So what was the result? Our memberships were FINALLY cancelled after having to pay $100 or the Sherriff and debt collectors would be called on us. When they were the ones continue to charge us after trying time and time again to cancel the membership.

Absolutely disgusting, when I have been drained upwards of 500 dollars for a gym I haven’t used and wasted hours of time trying to simply cancel a gym membership.

Looking at other reviews this is not the first time this has happened.

Do not give your details to this gym as they will confuse and deceive you whilst direct debiting $29 a fortnight from your account.

The gym has everything you need but be aware of the 30 cancellation policy in the T&Cs. If you only want a gym for a few weeks you'll need to cancel your membership the same day you join.

Makes it very difficult to cancel your membership - must do so in person which is very customer un-friendly and hard to believe in this day and age. Businesses should NOT make it hard for customers to cancel direct debit arrangements.

Love this gym. I’ve been everywhere and this is by far the best. John and his team go the extra mile to make sure you’re looked after. They have the best equipment, it’s so clean and organised, well set out, friendly staff and fellow gym members. Literally everything you need and nothing you don’t. And the price is amazing.

Very small gym. Very well priced. It's two tiny levels of workout space. Most weights are on ground level and upstairs you've got your elliptical, cycling and free space for own workouts.

They make it almost impossible to cancel your membership. Quite ridiculous.

It's quite convenient bc u can go at any given time. So you can easily fit gym time around busy schedules.

This gym advertises as being affordable one of the reasons I went here

yet you will speak to someone over the phone and put your membership on a hold only to be charged anyway and be told they don’t remember
Be wary this gym makes it very hard to cancel or hold your membership and will continue to charge you

Favorite gym in Melbourne! Has all the equipment you need, low prices and very helpful staff. Jack was awesome! Helped me sign up and made everything super easy for me:) highly recommend

DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM

Since Covid started, I hold my membership until when I come back. But this guys charged automatically when they opened the gym from locked down. Even they charged me without notice $113 (it's been only 3weeks). I refunded part of money but it's not full refund.

I wanted to cancel but he said 30 days cancellation notice. Which means they will charge 30days more (I never heard when I signed up)

Really good value for money and helpful staff. The equipment is in good condition and there is plenty of space as well. I also like that there are enough cardio machines, so far I have never had to wait for one. I only use a handful of machines / equipment though. If you are an expert and like a huge variety of machines etc it’s probably worth spending more on a bigger gym.

If you want a cheap gym that delivers exactly what you pay for then join here. It's no ritz Carlton but it does the job.

My husband and I visited this morning and really enjoyed the space and the wide range of equipment.
Very friendly and welcoming staff.

Good gym. You want to work out for a low price? Say no more. Place is clean, music is nice (although very often you hear a weird little notification sound through the songs) and they offer loads of work-out instruments. Good place!

All the staff are so kind and welcoming. However, I don’t believe I am able to achieve the goals I have set for myself. Between the location being over crowded, not enough equipment or the limited equipment they do have being broken, I feel like I’m in the way and unable to reach my full potential in a workout. It’s a pretty affordable gym but I don’t recommend unless you want to take all of your creative energy to actually get in a good sweat.

Best value for money gym near chapel Street. Great free boxing classes too! No contracts and 24/7. What more could you want?

Ok gym, it does the job if you enjoy working out at 2am so other locals don't judge your out of shape, flabby body. They did keep my key "deposit" though, even though I went 30mins out of my way to return it, as apparently this "deposit" is non-refundable.

Not pretentious, good equipment and John runs a v friendly place with a great vibe to exercise - highly recommend. (PS Parking isnt usually a problem)
