Towoo Korean Charcoal BBQ

We originally booked for 6.30pm and were called an hour before and asked to come at 7pm. Arrived and there were no tables and lines and lines of customers with bookings like us with no space. Didn't end up getting a table until 7.45pm. The service was very unimpressive, almost every aspect of our order was wrong, despite us correcting them multiple times and asking where our food was. We were served cold rice and the fried sides that were given to us 'complimentarily' were also ice cold. The meats and veggies were good but most definitely not worth what we payed for considering the size. The staff were so overrun by overbooking that they had no time to actually pay attention to the people sitting down. Overall, a bad experience and will definitely not be coming back.

We have been to this restaurant many times in the past and have always had a great experience until last night. We had booked for a downstairs table as we had our elderly parents with us. We were told we had to go upstairs. We were the first ones up and the last ones to be served. We starting being served after 45 minutes and only after we had asked a few times.
The table beside us were cooking there own bbq.
Customer service was extremely poor and the bbqs are now on gas and the food is not as tasty as when it was previously cooked on charcoal. Very disappointed!

Booked specifically for a ground floor seating.because of young children. Arrived seated down and looking through the menu when we were abruptly requested to move upstairs.

We politely declined only to be asked repeatedly because they had another bigger group who wanted a ground floor seating. We stated we were upset only to be given no choice. Ended up leaving the restaurant and having to look for a different restaurant with hungry young kids late in the evening!

Poor customer service!

A nice korean bbq restaurant with plentiful side dishes, salad, starter, etc.which all come within a set. The staff are very attentive and would cook all the meat for you too. It is not on the cheap side, and you will smell like meat afterwards, but it is all worth it in my opinion.

Made booking for 16 people and advised that this was our Christmas Dinner for our staff following a very difficult year. To woo placed on three separate tables and when we highlighted the problem, they were not willing to address the issue. Made us feel very uncomfortable and our group was separated and unable to celebrate together.

Great korean bbq joint in Surrey Hills! We got the pork and beef set menu and the beef bulgogi soup. The soup was a bit expensive for the serving size they gave, but otherwise delicious. The meats tasted delicious and some others were well marinated. Great customer service was provided and they even helped recommend some dishes to try.

Ordered 2 Bibim bap meal and it took 45 minutes for the first to arrive. Then they came back 10 minutes later and said accidentally served our second Bibim bap meal to another table. Had to wait for another 15 minutes before it finally was served.

Magnificent food and the service to match.
Would recommend one of the set menus which gives diners a bit of variety.
The place is a bit noisy so I wouldn't recommend it for a first/second date but perfect for a catch up with friends/family.

Went for dinner tonight.my daughter found chewing gum in their serviettes. Told the staff. Got a rude response saying "Well. Do you want a discount then? ". I mean dude. In this age of pandemic covid19 safety is important. Some random chewing gum in my daughter's serviette. Great customer service there.

5 stars! I can not fault this restaurant.

The food was delicious and of a really high quality. Staff were very accommodating and were happy to do most of the cooking at our table.

The restaurant has an upscale feel and was very busy. A little pricier than some other places but worth every cent. We spent $110 for 2 people though I think we probably over ordered.

Thanks for having us, we'll definitely be back.

An enjoyable meal and a different experience to most traditional restaurants. We will be back again.

Always very popular, and for good reason. The atmosphere here is great and the food is just as good.
We were all new to Korean BBQ so ordered off the set menu. Staff look after you the whole time and cook the meat right in front of you and to your liking.

Fortunately we were able to walk in and get a table on a Thursday night.
I will definitely be back here.

Tried three times. Overstaffed and posh experience on a weeknight. Hectic and scrambles on a weekend: beer and rice came out after main course after multiple queries. No apologies, sad. Albeit, best korean bbq meat in town.

Great atmosphere, one of the best Korean BBQ places for quality meat. Good service even when it was a little busy. The Wagyu set was worth the slightly high price. Will definitely come back again soon!

Absolutely loved the Korean barbecue and the super friendly staff. We were a group of 6 with most 1st timers. The staff was considerate enough to help choose the correct menu options and also help throughout the meal with the barbeque and making bite size portions of the grilled meat. It was a good experience and I would recommend a visit to the place.

The food and price are very good. Even the booking required (especially friday night). Easy parking place since the parking is at the back street, walking distance to the restaurant. Otherwise if you are lucky to can find the parking space right in front of the shop. Enjoy!

Great atmosphere, very good service with staff cooking all the barbecue ingredients. Very tender beef and fresh salad.

Waiting staff was very helpful; atmosphere was cosy although freshness & quantity are average.
