Total Tools Preston

Exceptionally disappointed at my recent experience. The staff member was rude, arrogant and incompetent when it comes to replacement for faulty products. Be aware if you are female as his attitude was dismissive and derogatory. I’ve spent so much money at Total Tools previously but their customer service has hit bottom low recently. They quote they can price match, then don’t. They are a retailer and must follow the law whether it is warranty replacement/refund or consumer price guarantee. Once again customer service beyond unacceptable.

Boxing Day sell, spent $500 get $100 dollars point, where I spent $479, and get $29 something else make $500 to receive $100, however the sell person didn’t mention anything that the sell item not qualify, I only received $50 dollar, contact the office, they don’t care at all. Very disappointed their service

Sent a tool component back for warranty repair.

"It'll probably be a few weeks. "

Went in two months later looking for an update. They said they'd ring me first thing the next day after they get in touch with whoever had the component. No call.

Repeated that exact same process again nearly two months later. 4 months have now passed for less than an hour's worth of repairs. Still no call.

Contacted corporate to demand a replacement. Store took over a week to respond to corporate; only responding to them after I sent a second email. So far still refusing replacement - just now, after 7 months, trying to source the replacement wing-nut from a neighbouring store.

I'm genuinely impressed with how absolutely awful this store has been to deal with. They're not even apologetic about their service.

It's also worth noting that the faulty tool in question was less than three months old when I returned it. Replacement and refund both refused outright by staff. I'd be curious to know if the ACCC would consider an unsuable component as grounds for me to demand a replacement or refund - their website sure reads like they would.

Was at the store on insiders night, Freddie helped me with everything I needed. He is 10/10. Best customer service I've ever gotten. Thank you Freddie. I will be back but only if you do the sale.

Was there a couple days ago, got everything I needed and more. Cass I think was her name she was extremely helpful and friendly. Will definitely be coming back.

We were shopping for a ride on mower. We are so grateful to have visited Total Tools Preston, every single team member was so friendly, helpful and approachable. The perfect Ego mower was delivered promptly with a smile and we love it. Already been back to buy a Karcher pressure washer. I’ll be doing all my home warehouse shopping at Preston Total tools from now on.

All the staff at total tools locations go the extra mile. The guys at Preston make you feel important regardless of what you are are after, and even just chased me down into the car park when they found a product I couldn’t locate. Real service and advice on quality tools and recommendations from experience.

Refuse to provide the 7 days replace warranty by the manager. Arrange the repair work but fail again the next day

Bought a Milwaukee tool from them. It's not working after 5 days. Bring it back to them and they refused to return it or replace it. (Milwaukee has 7 days return or replace policies). They just want to send the tool for repaier. After 2 weeks, I got the tool back. And it only last for 1 day use. Back to them again, they ask me to call Milwaukee which was very dispionted. Very unprofessional service!

An awesome store with awesome staff. Always willing to help find tools that are special orders. Just found out that Andy doesn’t work there anymore. Disappointing as he was so knowledgeable and helpful. Guess I’ll have to put up with Tony or Aaron now.

I've been using this company for many years. Plenty of parking, and very helpful staff. There is plenty of disability parking outside, and good wheelchair access in and around the store.

Purchased a chuck key that Sydney Tools and Bunnings Warehouse didn't have, and it was a quality Toledo brand made in Taiwan, good one Total Tools.

Charged $245 for Quik Drive collated screws. After buying found them anywhere for $160. I mean fair is fair however a more than 50% difference aint good. Pffft, may as well advise my mate to close his account that they asked for. This mob are worse than bankers.

They have pretty much everything you would need and their customer service is legendary. I don’t have to spend more than a minute looking before someone comes to help you get exactly what you need. They also provide lots of advise and tips even if you aren’t purchasing. I will go here anytime than any of the big box stores.

Staff are knowledgeable and helpful, they carry a good range of the non throw-away tool brands.
