Good range, but be aware that as a franchise, exchanges or other issues must go back to original store and Mitcham and branches will not help you.

Went to the store to potentially spend $2000+ during the trade sale. There was more staff on than there were customers (myself and 1 other) I spent almost 15 minutes trying to find the products that I needed. Gaps in stock everywhere, only time anybody spoke to me was to say goodbye as I left empty handed.

Received the worst customer service ever at Total tools Mitcham today. I brought in a faulty tool for repair, and was served by a staff member called Matt. When he was checking the system I was looking at other products, and I can hear him swearing, saying the f word the whole time. I don’t understand why he would be so annoyed and angry. If he is not happy to do his job can the owner pls fire him as I can see other customer having negative experience with him.

Returned a faulty gas reg which came with a welder, was assured I’d get a new one. Continually came in to check but never any progress and no one knew what was going on. Was then offered a new one at cost price for the trouble then at the counter told no I can just have it at trade price. Almost a year later still no new regulator.

I had one of my best experiences at Mitcham's Total Tools; blokes were all top-notch, a great environment and well set-up sections for all their tools. Special shoutout to Jamie who served me, was absolutely astounding and patient as I had card difficulties to complete the transaction:)

Plenty of staff floating around, all happy enough to argue amongst themselves about who did what job properly but not that keen on making a sale.nobody even looked my way to see if I wanted a hand so I’ll take my money elsewhere. Pathetic.

I was served by Matt for 2 items. Apparently Matt had a bad day. He did not say Hi at all, no greeting whatsoever. At one point he mumbled “in the system? ” I did not even realized he is talking to me. Then He pointed to the screen, looked at me and asked “Are you in the system? ” very short, rude and abrupt. It was weird form of asking if I am a member or not. I was but trust me I was so intimidated by his look I forgot that I was a member. I stuttered, ohh “NO! ” And he put his eyes on screen again. Kept typing. Said $14.99
I gathered myself and said “Sorry! I think it should be around $12 or something it seems something is not scanning right. “
I asked my dad which was standing next to me, Dad this ruller was $10 right? Dad said yes I think.
Turnd back to tell Matt that the ruller was priced $10 but Matt was not there. He took off to the isle to check the price. He was pretty quick. When he came back I could feel he Hates my guts even more. Why? ! I don’t know ‍️! Trust me I haven’t done anything wrong or haven’t done anything wrong on purpose.literally I did not have time to annoy him as was there for 5 second by then.
He kept typing and said” $11.20 “ and paused. Said nothing more.
I paid and I was waiting for a routine, cold “sorry for that” or “thanks for waiting” “thank you”
no!
By then I was upset and I was looking at him waiting for a sign of average customer service. He gave me the docket and said “Done” or something like that.
I said loudly and sarcastic “Have a great day”. He did not look at me and said “bye! ”
It was all too hard for Matt. Why he should bother when he can treat his customers like “CRAP” and still have the job?
My visit to Total-tools Mitcham was nothing but disappointing.

Very terrible experience here!

I went to this shop and wanted to purchase tools kit around 3000 dollars. I enquired if I could swap out one of the tools in the set for a better model. The first staff had a very bad attitude and told me no. When I want to ask other questions, I tried to ask another employee and he told me he was serving another client. Then I was left there for 5 minutes while one of the three staffs smoked at the door and the other two chatted at the cashier.

Don’t want to spend 1 dollar here at all.

I went in to Mitcham total tools this morning and had a horrible experience.

The staff completely ignored me and when I asked for help one of the staff said I was able to make some swaps in a kit and walked off. I had to go back and ask for assistance to find some additional items 3 times, and all times he wasn’t able to find anything or ask anyone else and made me look by myself while 5 of them were just chatting at the counters.

By the time I got to the check out another staff member rudely told me I was not able to make any swaps and didn’t even apologise for the mistake they made.

I left and went straight to Thomastown total tools who were so helpful and knowledgeable.

If I could give 0 stars I would, I will never come back.

I was after a very uncommon spanner and called in to Total Tools Mitcham on the chance that they might have it. Sadly they didn't but they had 2 staff members looking into my case, looked various sites and on the internet but all to no avail.

Even though they couldn't help me - and it was a slim chance at best - their attention to my query and their customer service was first class.

I got a socket set from here 4 years ago and decided to return to get a chainsaw last week. The electric chain I purchased had an oil leak from the oil chamber. Decided to return it and I was initially told it would need to go under warranty fix first (4 week period). I told them I planned to use the chainsaw very soon and 4 week wait would make that impossible. Anyway when I returned the original chainsaw, I was offered a brand new skin. I am quite happy with service and the fact they gave me a new one rather than fixing my original one under warranty given it's less than a week old. Lucas was the gentleman I dealt with both times and was very professional and understanding through the process.

Thanks to Total Tools for all there help the last few weeks. Matty and one of the younger girls in store always sort out my purchases in a timely manner.
3 weeks ago I came in to buy tools for my business and left with my tools and the knowledge on how to look after them.
Matt took the time to explain all aspects of how to look after my purchases, and showed me how it all worked.
Thanks to them my day was made easier.
Total Tools Mitcham were able to make my shopping experience streamlined and straight forward.thanks again. 5 stars all the way.

had the "almost new condition" one. It seems someone had returned it or it is used for a shop display. Can you explain what happened?

I bought tools and parts from here several times, dealt with matty many times and have always left satisfied
Good round the board knowledge of tools and the intricate parts that are hard to find elsewhere

When you grab an item and a team member gives you detailed reasons why it wouldn’t be suitable and offers alternatives, you know you’re in the right place. Steve is an encyclopaedia when it comes to tools and very happy to spending extended time to make sure you get the right product.
