Went into store to changeover a tti ratchet spanner. Waited 5min while the salesperson was trying to find the product on the computer. He then asked another salesperson to help and he could not find either. They then said they don't have any evidence of my purchase to which I replied "not my problem". Then another salesperson stepped in and asked how long have I had it for, I said about 4yrs and the salesperson said it's only 1 year on ratchet part and lifetime on the rest, he rudly said just get him another one but that's the last one you'll be getting. I then got the replacement and on the spanner was marked lifetime guarantee.go figure? And this is the reason why I don't shop there anymore, I'll take my money elsewhere, everything they have you can get it anywhere?

The store is very large and well stocked with a wide range of tools for use by trade and domestic purposes to suit a range of budgets.
We received excellent customer service from Martin. He asked us various questions to help him suggest trimmers that would meet our needs. He also made sure we knew how to operate and maintain the trimmer we had selected and gave us the opportunity to trial it.
We found out about Total Tools from a neighbour, who was also very happy with his recent purchase.

Thanks to the boys for their help with getting a click and collect ready ASAP for my use on the weekend on a Sunday arvo! Very much appreciated.

Disgusting misogynistic behaviour from the salesmen. I went in to purchase a Milwaukee jacket. A salesperson “helped” me by ringing up a men’s jacket instead of the female one I had chosen. When I came back the following day to get the correct one the salesperson tried to overcharge me by doing a swap, rather than refunding the price difference. They talked between themselves while I was right in front of them about keeping the cash. It was disgusting behaviour which should be looked at by their management.

ZERO STARS after buying many Makita chainsaw products one of the chains was not functional and jammed, i took it back to be told the non functional chainsaw chain could not be returned as it was not able to be resold because of the packaging. You guys are rubbish and should be ashamed of your salesmanship. Unless you are spending 25k a year go elsewhere

Why would I shop at Total Tools Ballarat? The item I needed was on one of their machines, which was pointed out to two staff members. Time was taken to find the correct items on the computer system. I ordered and paid for 3 air cleaners at around $12 each, which I thought was an average price for small plastic air cleaners. Didn't hear anything, so I rang and the order couldn't be found until I read out bits from the docket. Air cleaners had been there a week. 2nd trip to town to pick them up and they are the wrong ones. Total Tools re-ordered, and as per usual they said they'd call when they arrived.as per usual, that didn't happen. After phoning them a week later I find they've been sitting there for several days. Another 70km round trip to them pick up, only to be told the price has more than doubled. I wouldn't have ordered them at that price in the 1st place. The next customer asked to pick up his order and was told they had no record of it and no-one knew anything about it. So it's not just me.

Huge selection of tools for every trade, and the store is huge. The range of tools is excellent, they stock cheaper affordable tool options as well as your top of range gear. There is normally plenty of staff working and they are also very helpful and knowledgeable. They can also order in special options. All together 5 stars in my honest opinion.

Excellent service today. It was EOFY VIP Sale day and store was busy but the sales staff all took the time to help me (non tradie woman) find exactly what I wanted. I walked out of the door with a $567 Milwaukee mini chainsaw kit instead of the Ego I had come in for, because I got the chance to hold the Ego with a battery installed and realised it would be too heavy for me. The sale bonus was great too. I have purchased several outdoor power tools at this store, have always been helped and have never felt I was talked down to as a DIY learner.

Will never shop with them again. Ordered something with click and collect, wasn’t in stock and was called and informed, told they would refund me. Waited 5 days and I had to email about it. They hadn’t put in for a refund and was told it’s not their problem they can’t help me and to call someone else. What a joke they were rude and clearly didn’t care.

Really helpful, my teenage daughter walked in and was immediately helped by one of the staff, great range of gear and heaps of parking. Highly recommend.

Staff had very good knowledge of what I was looking for. Helpful after sales advice. A very good shopping experience.
