Torquay Foreshore Caravan Park reviews
75 We came here with a group for the first time. Enjoyable stay. The camp kitchen was excellent and next to the kids play area. Kids loved the jumping pillow. Close to beach.
Very difficult to get a good campsite as more than 50% are permit holders apparently so all the nice grassy areas are often booked out. We were in the Grove which was more dirt than grass. Only one kitchen sink in this part for the whole area and 3 showers. Very noisy next to the road in the mornings and when Torquay pub has an event going on.
Other than those things we did enjoy our stay and will be back, hopefully on a more grassy site if we can get in!
Great caravan park right on the beach & across the road from shops etc. Casual relaxed atmosphere.
Friendly easy check in cabin was spotless, great location everything was easy highly recommended
Warning Dog Owners. I had booked in to stay with my dog months ahead, as the caravan park site and policy said 'dog friendly', then several days before my holiday the owner messaged they only accept 'lap dogs'. As an owner of a well-behaved boxer/mastiff X I was told my dog was too large to stay! So beware people who don't own little dogs.
Sensational massive park, with very good facilities and impressive camp kitchen. Check in was a breeze. We stayed in the pine section which is right off the main shops road which is fantastic to walk across to the dining and hotels.
One of the best parks I've stayed in. Great rates, facilities and location. Staff always great
My husband and I booked a campsite for our van to stay overnight - What a beautiful park! The bathrooms were incredibly clean and maintained, plenty of additional facilities; bbq area, laundry, kids playgrounds.
We arrived after hours but the check-in process was super easy as we were able to do contactless check-in via the office safe, no hassles at all!
The park is surrounded by beautiful scenery and walking trails. We opted for the surfside so we had an awesome view around the corner from our spot watching the surfers out on the waves.
Would highly recommend.
Great clean park with lots of activities and amenities for families. Close to shops and restaurants and walking distance to beach.
We were thoroughly disappointed by our visit. We have camped all around Australia and, never have we been treated with such hostility as we have today. The man working at the reception was unfriendly and rude. Our friends that were also on our booking attempted to drive their camping gear to our (cramped and over priced at $111) site to leave their belongings. The man came directly towards us and abrasively demanded we leave immediately as apparently we were in breach of the 1 car per site rule, leaving us with nowhere to stay and a very sour experience. This was very contrasting to all of our other camping expeditions in Australia.
Extremely disappointed that they will not honour a cancellation 96hrs - 4 days out. Booked through website and clearly states that cancellation and FULL refund will be made if cancellation is outside of the final 46hrs.
We stayed in one of their cabins. It was a really nice stay. Beds I would only give a 2 star out of 5. However everything else absolutely was spot on. Clean 5/5, customer service 5/5 and functionality of the place 5/5.100% would go back and pack a mattress topper
Extremely rude people, wouldn't let us drop off our tents beside out camp site for two seconds and made us walk the whole way down to our site. Over crowded sites and little sites. Very bad experience
So close to Geelong but unable to get tv reception in caravan, need satellite or long extension pole. There is a lot of caravans here for long term people and not much space for travellers. They have set park to maximise amount of vans, so not much room and some trees need trimming to fit van under. Very expensive for no tv reception. I find it strange lop0that you dump grey water straight onto the ground.
Beautiful caravan park. We stayed here one night and it was perfect. The bathrooms were spotless clean and the showers were amazing.
Dark sandy campsite
$62 a night
Creepy vibe
Shady characters around
Water saver showers hard to get warm on this cold night
Definitely worst park I’ve stayed in 3states
Nah yeah nah
1/10
This is a great caravan park, everything is so clean and it’s a lovely park to walk around, and just a small stroll to the amazing beach, we will stay here again, as we loved it
The only downside to it is the showers, their lack of water and the time you are permitted to use the water 6 min and that’s trying to make it hot and most of the time is wasted, if we were in water restriction yes I could understand but we are not.for shower only 1………. Rest of caravan park 5
I hope management will take heed of this and do something about the showers
My site was dirt, sand and chip bark. Definitely stayed in nicer parks at a much cheaper rate.
Showers were clean and warm facilities otherwise where good.
Loved the location to the beach and takeaways on Bell St. We stayed in a new studio cabin. Nice and clean, very comfortable and self contained with fridge and stove
We stayed here in our Motorhome. Very over priced (most expensive out of all of the parks we stayed in) Site was very un user friendly and uneven.
The place to go camping in Torquay! Close to everything, amazing location! For its size and price probably facilities could be better but thr location is phenomenal!
