Toro Cafe Vietnamese Food reviews
10Food was amazing and cheap, service was fairly fast and they were happy to split meals into multiple plates. The music was really nice as well!
Came by with a friend for lunch. The staff were friendly and we were greeted warmly. I had a chai latte which was quite good, in fact probably one of the better ones I've had in a while. The pork crackling banh mi was quite nice, the bread was roasted so it was warm and crusty which is hard to find these days, the pickles were perfectly flavoured, the crispy pork belly was nice and had some crunch to it. The filling could have been a bit more generous. Overall great meal, good flavours, would come back.
A cute little café! The staff are friendly and welcoming. I had a crispy pork banh mi which was tasty and reasonably priced though a little hard to eat. The roll was cut completely in half (think of how a burger has two separate buns) rather than how other places cut a deep slit into the roll. Although it was wrapped in paper, it fell apart somewhat easily. Despite that, the bread was nice and crunchy and the flavours were great. In short, pretty good!
Wonder if it's a ture reflection of the owner's taste, this cafe is one of very few subscribed higher quality The Age news paper, compared with majority subscribing Rupert's Herald Sun. Good on you!
Ice Vietnamise coffee $8.50 for one shot if less ice only less than half cup after I say can you do normal ice back is just ice that’s its. This Vietnamise coffee just taste sweet. As show photo below.
The crispy pork rice Is taste so fresh. Yummy for the crispy pork.
Grill chicken banhmi tasteless
Noteworthily, Toro is one of few cafes subscribing intelligent The Age, not popular, cheap Herald Sun newspaper.
Nice staff but when you pay a lot for food and drink you expect it to taste of something. The mango smoothie literally had 0 taste and so did the bacon and egg roll. I have no idea how you can achieve 0 taste on both. Pretty disappointing. Also no tissues or anything on the tables which is poor.
Lovely staff and lovely food at an affordable price. The environment is cozy and relaxing. Will definitely come back and try some of their other menu items as well!
Have been going here every week for a late lunch for the past 4 weeks and their food is consistent and well priced - also some of the best Phó we've had nearby.
Was here only for coffee. Tried mocha and it was nice. Also a good place to sit and chat. Staff are friendly. Saw their menu, they have Vietnamese foods on top of normal cafe foods, so will try the foods one day. Came about 1.30pm on a Sunday and there were quite a few people there.
