Went and got spring rolls they were ok but asked about lettuce and herbs and said they came with none even tho it clearly states it in the menu….

The best vegan pho in Melbourne. Generous portions and well priced. Highly recommend the vegan duck pho for lunch or dinner

Great gluten free and vegetarian options for some fantastic Vietnamese cuisine. Menu was short and sweet, which is a plus for a large indecisive group

Friendly staff, delicious food and price is reasonable. I ordered the lunch special $19.63 Vegan Pho with mushroom and tofu, two vegan spring rolls and a can of Coke. Definitely worth coming back for

Lovely cute Vietnamese restaurant in beautiful Smith st Collingwood. Beef pho had a nice flavour but overall average compared to others.

This cafe at the top end of Smith Street Collingwood is small but serves excellent Vietnamese food. It has a fairly simple but straightforward menu with great vegan options and the flavours are amazing. However, the grilled salmon is my fave.

The food is great, the prices very reasonable, the atmosphere and vibe is good, and the staff is super friendly and provides a great service. Tonkin Bar & Grill is highly recommended.

Delicious vegan duck pho and other Vietnamese restaurant snacks coffee tea and treats. Tonkin is well priced and better quality food and service than most Vietnamese restaurants with friendly and helpful staff.

Please be mindful that your chef (in beige fleece) on June 18 at 1 pm was acting very arrogant.

Tonkin served delicious Asian-fusion/Vietnamese food in a cozy setting. Staff were friendly also, making Tonkin an excellent lunch/dinner choice.

Absolutely delicious. From the Prawn and Ginger Dumplings and spring rolls for starters, right through to the hearty Phò and Bún mains. Leaves you feeling satisfied, yet still yearning for more. Proteins are fresh and lean cuts, plus vegan options are extremely tasty.

A real reminder of what Smith Street used to be like, and a step in the right direction for one of Melbourne's best dining areas

Had a really nice meal at Tonkin yesterday, opting for the $18.40 lunch special which is EXCELLENT value. The special gets you any main and either a drink + 1 side or 2 sides if you're super hungry.

The bun was fresh and chargrilled pork was succulent. The pho was based on a vegan broth which was much milder and less flavourful than the regular version - however a great option for vegans. The chicken wings and fried tofu were winners.

Amazing staff who go above and beyond and despite a busy day being able to fulfil orders at rapid pace.

I would come back for the bun with the lunch special. I might give the pho a miss personally but would be keen to give the broken rice a go!

We were looking for dinner and stumbled across this place and I’m so so glad we did! It’s the best tofu I’ve ever had and the spring rolls were amazing! Staff were really helpful and friendly… Definitely recommend

Very gracious in accepting a late walk-in trio. Everything we ordered was delicious. The service was lovely. Definitely a revisit.

Even though Tonkin’s interior space is a sleek homely minimalistic design, their food is packed full with flavour. The chargrilled beef pho blended smokiness with the freshness and tang of their soup base. I would highly recommend coming by for lunch, dinner, or even a rest after exploring Collingwood. Make sure to bring friends and share the experience.

I ordered a meal from Tonkin through Uber Eats and restaurant has sent me food that was prepared 1h30min prior according to order docket attached to delivery bag. Food was cold and not worthy the price. Poor quality.

Best pho I’ve ever had. The grilled beef was out of this world. Perfect for winter, perfect for lockdown. I want more. The spring rolls are off the charts. I’ll be coming back (or Uber eats-ing it) again

A very cosy atmosphere as they try to jam pack the patrons but, it’s what happens in Collingwood.
What you see is what you get as the waitresses double-up as the cooks and do it all in front of you.
Good cheap food for great cheap fun!
