Tokyo Sake

The food was passable.

Yaki Soba—noodles were virtually swimming in a thick, sweet sauce which overpowered the flavour of the few pieces of seafood.

The Bento Box rice was gluggy. I know that 餅米
(mochigome/sticky rice) is supposed to be sticky, but it had been cooked in too much water for too long. The miso soup was quite watery and the tenkasu (天かす) is not really a good addition because it immediately turns into soggy bits in the soup.

This is my second time here, and it was just as amazing as the first. The food is incredible! The staff are very helpful and friendly and it's a really lovely restaurant.

My partners Curry Bento was drowned in muddy sauce and tasted no better than it looked. The other parts of the Bento box were no better.
I ordered Vege Tempanyaki. It was covered with a very sweet sauce that overpowered the taste of any other ingredient. I pushed over the plate after a few bites. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, none of the three waiters acknowledged or addressed the issue.

Just went to my favorite restaurant. Spent $93 for 2 people but couldn't eat it all. They charged us 30cents for a take away container and 50cents for a larger one. Have spent hundreds of $$$$$ over the year there and have tipped them generously. Last meal there tonight.sorry, very poor form Tokyo Sake.

The food and service was amazing! I am not a Japanese food person and was very unsure what to get and my mother ordered a vego bento box (which has a bit of everything) which was really good. Highly recommend, would definitely go back there!

Best Japanese in the area. Been many times and will be back many more. A great place to catchup while dining on amazing food.

Bento takeaway had very little in Sushi to the price we paid. I would not recommend it. The miso soap was not a Japanese we experienced from other Japanese Restaurants. Chinese trying to be Japanese restraurant.

I was surprised how busy it was for a Wednesday night. Then we got our meals. Wow, Absolutely delicious. I had to stop myself from lickiing the plate! Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Will definitely go again.

Ordered Takoyaki, Una Teppanyaki, and Spicy Pork Teppanyaki. I'd never eaten eel before so I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was delicious, definitely recommend giving it a go. Please note that the Teppanyaki dishes don't come with rice, so this needs to be ordered as a side.
Bill for food came to just under $70, and there was a lot of it. Decent value for food and great service.

Finally tried it and the food was really good. The decor is dated but it's a great place for an unpretentious dinner and drinks. Sake selection was really nice. Kids loved the sushi.

We paid around $130 (not including delivery) for a few dishes for a night in. All tasting like soy sauce, over cooked, cheap frozen vegetables and barely any meat. Definitely not worth the price. The miso soup and eggplant were OK, however still not worth the price. Would highly not recommend. Bento dishes were also full of cheap melon fruit, infact they had supplied more fruit than meat.

Pretty disappointed for the poor service last night.
The servers were impatient with us and could not offer one small smile. They didn't offer any tea/coffee/desert, and couldn't clear our table away.
We were offered a bottle of water!
Food was strangely over salted?
we have been there so many times, but last night was just the worst service and food was poor quality we have to say something!
I couldn't believe the servers had that awful, impatient look when we were still discussing in our group.
Would we recommend? Not likely
Would we return? No.

Don’t eat here. I got severe food poisoning from here and still trying to recover. Never eating here again.

Our group of eight shared a tasty array of dishes and enjoyed our visit. When one of our party took suddenly ill, the staff was particularly helpful. We would visit again.

Great little Japanese restaurant. Refurbished since our last visit some time ago and looking very nice. Like all businesses at the moment looking for staff but service was responsive and attentive. Meals were very good. The establishment is licensed (wine selection limited but well priced), usual beers plus a few Japanese brands and saki of course. You can also byo (I think that corkage was $2 per head). Will visit again.

Fantastic food, all our plates were large but not to big we will be back. One comment, the wait staff were very friendly but they were hard to get hold of. It may of been an off night, I'll see when I return.

Great food and fantastic staff. The highlights were the Sukiyaki Beef Teppanyaki and Tempura Banana with coconut ice cream. Highly Recommended.
