Toka Exchange

I'm not a regular in the CBD, but today I came across this shop on Bourke Street (that Gundam lamp was too good to resist), smack bang across from Kmart. Looked like new shop. The prices not too different from what I'd fork out in Japanese store. They even stocked things I've never seen around these parts. The staff are very friendly and polite, made my shopping jaunt a ripper time

The guys at the store got a guy who has the kit to contact me, they went to an awesome extent to find me, and set up the contact.they didn't have to it was just a bad review- this is ace service. Above and beyond guys, well done.

Their products are way overpriced. People are better off walking to CriticalHit or Minotaur. Maybe even to One Stop Anime, not as much variety as Toka, but at least OSA prices are fair

Every other hobby store in the CBD is like a regular store in a video game, this one is the secret shop. Every time I go in there's a new rare gundam kit that I've never previously seen in person.

They have a large range of figures and some rare ones you won't see elsewhere but its best to check if other stores have what you want first (Critical Hit & Minotaur closest, Moko Select & One Stop Anime for most similar stock) as the prices at Toka Exchange are quite high and they still apply a credit card surcharge no matter how much you spend.
Staff was quiet and distracted at the time I was there but once I was in front of the line the process was efficient.

Amazing collection of anime figurines. Very knowledgeable staff and very rare collectables. Would come here again.

They stock those rare and never seen figures that no one can find in the market.
The staffs know their stuff really well!

Aesthetically the store is so bland and boring outside of the actual figures and stuff on display. And the staff there, bigger guy behind the desk was ignoring me and just made me feel like I didn’t matter.

The variety of figures is amazing though, figures from things that are no longer popular and more niche things available too. But since of the figures and stuff available is kind of different then what you get at other anime stores the price tag is higher which takes more away from the rating.

Overall variety is superb but the pricing and overall customer service ruins it for me.

This store is way over priced to equivalent genre stores within 200 m ie Minotaur & Critical Hit. No exchange policy on display. Better value elsewhere.

When one of the model kits I wanted was running late due to shipping they went above and beyond apologizing for something well beyond their control

Amazing variety of figures, including many that aren't available online, but also extremely overpriced - some are several times higher than the retail price, especially the 1/4 scale figures. Always check online prices first (e.g. On Amiami, Amazon JP, Good Smile) before buying anything from here.

A good store where you can buy a lot of what you want and make reservations for things from all over the world.

Got my stuff. Thank you so much. Definitely a place to go if you’re looking for unique / limited supply toys.

Rare and never seen items in store, found things I have been looking for for ages.
Owners know their stuff which is refreshing!

Great place for finding rare and exclusive figures but pricing of some figures are a little higher than most other figure stores in melb/online so be prepared to empty your wallet if you're desperate like i was
