Tirhatuan Park reviews
67Come here on a weekly basis. Love the strolls, seeing the dogs in the off leach area and the picturesque views
What a perfect combination - families, big dogs - little dogs - cyclists and walkers like us - this was the border of our 15 km zone -A haven for birdlife - and important flora and fauna corridor as well as waterway management -this was the first time we were here
Really nice part near kriegel way with bushland, river, large open areas, carpark, bbq's, some cover, lakes, lots of paths to walk different routes, toilets, bins. Dog enclosures for those who want to bring their dogs.
Lots of seating and some picnic tables.
Great spot!
Lots of activities for kids. Walking, sight seeing and bbq options for adults and kids, plenty of car space.
A large park with wetlands. Kids playground is pretty good.
A smattering of body weight exercise machines around the park and a good sized dog area for large n small.
Great fenced off park for big and small dogs alike. Access to water & agility equipment. Would highly recommend. Does get muddy after the rain.
Great for some exercise and getting the kids out in some fresh air. The park is very well maintained and very clean. People should note that this isn't like other wetland reserves. It only has the one toilet at one end at the car park. So if you are intending on walking the entire track and your have young kids or elderly it's best to go before you arrive or at the start of your walk.
It has two dog parks the likes of I have never seen. There is a smaller one for small breeds and an gigantic one for all dogs. Both are completely fenced in with a good gate.
There is also a pretty good playground for the kids. Just be aware that it gets busy on nice days and the car park is limited in size.
The only warning I would give is to obviously don't use the park at night. There is zero lighting here on the track or reserve. And as it has fully unrestricted access from multiple locations safety may be a concern. Otherwise I highly recommend this place.
Wide open space. Walking and biking track. A number of gazebos and two electric barbecue facilities.
There is so much work that the council has done for this area
Very impressive and very happy even to do a normal walk every single day
Lovely well maintained park with Dandenong Creek running alongside. Great, large off lead dog park with agility equipment and a separate area for small dogs.
Lovely park for a walk and for the kids to enjoy the playground and park. Not to mention the dog park!
Nice, clean family friendly park.
Amazing dog Park there. Love the updates.
Great day for a picnic
Nice park for a walk. Gotta watch out for cyclists. Has some nice creeks with well placed benches to sit and relax. Pretty quiet with not many people around.
Beautiful park. Great walking tracks, big off lead area for dogs (even a separate area for small dogs), and fantastic playgrounds for children. Unfortunately not enough parking, people parked on the side of the only drive way in and out so it was a bit like playing frogger when we left for the day.
Will return in future though
Wow, what a fairytale area for promenades and cycling! Didn’t expect to find this adjacent to Dandenong. Good on you, municipal authorities, for maintaining this beauty!
A park with all the amenities to suit your needs. We've had large BBQ gatherings here for my church and also taken our dog to the on-site dog park as well as great running tracks that connects you to the Eastlink trail if you're into longer runs or bike rides.
Great park with a circular walking path. Outdoor tennis courts, bbq and playground. Special dog designated area. There are parts of the walk that are out in the open and others that are secluded.
Very large sized park with good solid fencing to keep the dogs in, plenty of water bowls around the park if you forget yours, safe place to have your dog off lead.
Great enormous park with a lovely BBQ picnic area and a large children playground. A walking/running trail also runs along the park. Highly recommended.
It's such a beautiful park, nicely kept, lots of room for walking, exercising and you can bring your dog with you as well.
