It says eggs Benny on the menu but it's actually some kind of wonderful polenta waffle with crispy sweet potato bits. Could be the best fancy version of a meal in Melbourne.

Holy $8.80 for an iced almond latte? ! Up charging for plant-based milk seems a little outdated. To be fair though, it was a good coffee.

Really lovely staff, customers and food! Treated very well and very full after! Only issue is the music is very loud so it’s quite hard to hear myself and the friends I’m with speak, otherwise a great place!

I recently visited them and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff. The food was okay.

It was a nice change to be able to dine out on New Year's Day as most other places were closed. Overall, it was a decent dining experience.

I did a couple of orders for around 10 people and everything was perfect. The staff were great to deal with and super helpful. I pre ordered lunch to be ready at 1pm and it was in my hand ready to go right on time. They didn’t miss anything and made sure to double check all drinks and food. Thanks guys!

Bloody Mary was great. Eggs Benedict were all that they should be. Add a side of bacon and bottomless coffee. Yup, got me!

Found this gem as my airbnb was in Northcote. Had brunch with mates and was one of the best meals I’ve had in Melbourne. Plenty of room to sit. Coffee was amazing, we had chilli scrambled eggs and peas on toast. All items were presentable, great quantity and very delicious!

Loved everything especially the coffee and chai. The vegan option for the kale meal was a bit lacking in flavour sadly but everything else was great.

Had a delicious brunch. Great brunch menu with lots of options. Perfectly cooked poached eggs. Coffee was excellent as was the bloody Mary. It was busy but service was excellent even though we were sitting outside.

Good atmosphere and warm inside, efficient service and the food and drinks were happy with the taste, quality and portion size.

Visited this cafe over the weekend and was very impressed as they nailed my coffee order. The Peas on toast, absolute winner. Service was great as well. Will visit again.

Smashed Avo is, 2 dry pieces of toast with some smashed Avo, tasteless n not worth d money. Portions r small. Only d coffee was nice n d Smoothie n d Waitress was great. Would not eat there again.

Best espresso I have had in a while. Really great service on a busy Sunday morning. The design is cool, I thought it would be really noisy but it isn't. Menu is a standout. Very creative and each dish we saw come out looked amazing. One of the best cafes around.

Tinker was a beautiful modern cafe in Northcote. Similar to its sister cafe, Penta, Tinker was also famous for their pretty panna cotta; saffron and mango panna cotta, which we ordered alongside the waffle eggs benedict. I loved the panna cotta; the saffron flavour really stood out with a nice silky texture and fresh fruits and crunchy granola. The waffle egg benedict was pretty good too; the cornbread waffle was a bit too thick for my liking, but the sweet potato crisps gave a nice texture to the fluffy waffle and creamy eggs. Coffee was great, service was friendly, and the venue was clean and cosy.

Friendly service and great food. Busy cafe with some music playing. Thanks Tinker! Will be back for the scrambled eggs and bacon. Good Coffee also ️

One of Northcote's little gems,

Upon arrival the venue itself was fairly occupied with mainly the window seats inside being vacant. One of their waitresses greeted me and made sure I was taken care of as I was queuing for takeaway.

The dirty chai order could have room for improvement, as I could taste more of the chai infused milk rather than a balance between it with a shot of espresso. Hence the drink was more on the sweeter side.

Despite all that, smiles were all-round from customers to waitresses and the barista. I could even feel the positive vibes from the get go walking through the entrance. The drink also came out fairly quick for the weekend as I expected longer waiting times.

Nothing short of professionalism and friendly hospitality.

I am so pleased to have discovered Tinker. Everybody who works there is delightful, welcoming and kindly. The coffee and food is scrumptious, and the back courtyard is beautiful.
