Thrifty-Link Hardware reviews
32Small hardware store that seems to have a good range of stock. I wanted a sample pot of paint to do a small touch-up job. Given the mostly positive reviews, I was shocked by the rudeness of both staff members I dealt with. Neither responded to my hello, and then finally, the woman asked abruptly, 'What do you want? ' It went downhill from there. I'm all for supporting local business, but at least at Bunnings, they offer assistance and don't respond to questions like you're an idiot. Worst customer service experience I've had.
Martin, behind the counter, is one in a million.
He goes above and beyond to help out with advice, support and always makes you feel like you can achieve anything.and if I can't - Martin will sort that out!
Keep it local people, shop at Earls!
The guys here are super lovely and so happy to answer all your questions. I got lots of help choosing paint and discussing how to fix up some furniture. They are honest and have have so much time for their customers.
Been out in Windsor area and husband needed to go to hardware store and I checked to see if anything local or if had to continue on to our local big box outlet but Earl's Thrifty-Link came up. What a great place! Now hardware stores are not in my wheelhouse but in husband's and he said it was great and he was actually surprised to see how much they had. He was after brackets and god knows what, while I got keys cut, little pot of enamel paint to touch up scratches on washing machine etc and some coat hangers and I was actually thinking of things to buy! Several locals popped in while I was there and so glad to see this place doing well and thank goodness no big box outlets can move in area as no sites. Win for the little guys and the locals and people like us, from other suburbs, in need of hardware on way home.
This shop gave me the experience of the old-fashioned hardware store I prefer. Great service and still love the atmosphere of a real hardware store just around the corner.
Great place! The owner is a great guy and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Would recommend!
Matt and the team are so informed about hardware, it’s almost as if they engineered the products themselves. Move over Bunnings And Gdayvto my awesome local team
Was desperate for tools, came across thrifty by accident. The owner was helpful, knew what he was talking about and price was good. My luck on the day
I wish this was my local. Genuinely surprised by the range. The guy behind the counter is a gem… yep I got that just over there.came out from behind counter and took me there too! Explained the differences in that product range and to top it off knew the prices to the cent before he even
Scanned them!
Impressed!
While it is convenient and has a decent range for how small it is, the prices are outrageous.
The guy serving, not sure if he is the owner, is pretty miserable, and not someone I want to give my money to.
Always leaves a bad taste in my mouth after shopping there.
A great local, looks small but stands tall. Did an excellent job of matching paint colour for my sister and I so really pleased with the service. Nice bloke, good sense of humour.
Good range, competitive prices and friendly helpful service. Support your local hardware shop! Boycott the corporates!
My local hardware.
Local, helpful and friendly.
Shop locally and support your local traders.
If it’s experienced, knowledgeable, helpful and super friendly service you are looking for when doing DIY renovations, then this store should be your one-stop-shop? Larger chain hardware stores are good, if you know exactly what you need and want, however for a novice like me, I prefer specialised advice. The lady who helped me was incredible. And the pricing is extremely competitive. I will be a returning customer for sure. Thank you.
Awesome service … very knowledgeable, obliging and friendly!
I’d searched all over town (without success) for the marine fittings I was after … within 5 minutes of walking into this store, I had everything I needed!
I feel so lucky to still have a local hardware store. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff with a great range of products.
Highly recommend this business.
Staff were so helpful, patient, candid and knowledgeable.
Store is well stocked and amazing range despite appearing small.
Saved me time from queuing up at Bunnings!
There is space to park car in front if need.
I needed the wheel on mt trolley put back on. They fixed the problem with no fuss and didn't charge me. Lovely service
Needed a Dowling rod to use as a curtain rod, they had exactly what I needed and cut it too the length I needed. The staff member that served me was very helpful. This is a great store with very helpful staff and are reasonably priced in their products.
Small (ish) hardware store but great when you want to pick up something in a middle of a job and don’t want to drive all the way to Bunnings.
