Three Crowns Hotel reviews
37Just happened to come past this pub by chance and had dinner and a few beers, best steak dinner in Melbourne by a long shot
Aiden, ‘Jonty’ & Mr Red Hat were so hospitable & very friendly. Great service. Will be back next time when in Melbourne. Thanks guys!
Love this place! Best steaks around, great pub environment & super friendly staff.
Perfect choice for a catch up with a friend, or a meal out with the family.
Great setting, food was good, nice selection of beers, great staff.
Had the buttermilk chicken burger, very nice.
Great meal on a Saturday night, and probably lucky to get a table in a popular pub. Staff were busy but very friendly and helpful. Good people. Food was sensational. We had chicken wings at a dollar each, and bao buns at $4 each. Really good value for money, especially as the meat is proper smoked out the back. This is a real Aussie pub. Highly recommend
The food was delicious but the lady who served us was really rude, throwing the cutlery and tissues at the desk madly. The guys at the bar were super friendly though.
Three Crowns never disappoints.
It’s our local favourite when we go to stand-up comedy nearby.
Prices are very reasonable, the portions are large, and the service is always great!
They have various specials most nights of the week, so make sure to check out the blackboard.
What really lets the place down is its toilets, which are in desperate need for renovation.
Nice place. Does a little bit of everything really well. Classic Australian pub style that’s not often found in inner Melbourne. Food good, although nothing thus far has blown me away, but is fairly priced. Staff were very good and the 10 odd taps strike a good balance between traditional easy going beers and more adventurous craft. For me the best pub in North Melbourne.
Fantastic parma and pot of draught.
The service was next level, great stuff guys.
Dropped in before seeing Nats What I Reckon live.
Gonna go back for pint or 4.
What a great pub! I went there for the 1st time today as I am staying at a Motel only 3 or 4 min away. The guy behind the bar was so helpful after I asked about the trams and he told me about the tram app to download. It was happy hour (4-6pm) and pints were $7 wow what a bargain! I intend to return there for dinner tonight as when I left I saw a few meals come out that looked absolutely delicious. There is a tram stop less than 100m from the door. This pub is recommended by me!
Food was ok. Interior could use a much needed reno. Atmosphere wasn't created. Wouldn't order the special again as the amount was more of an entree than a main.
Worst experience ever. Ordered a medium rare steak with no sauce because the sauce I wanted and saw on the online menu they said they didnt even have it. I received a rubbery steak and wasnt happy as I could barely cut it. Received another one that came with garlic butter which I didnt even get on the first steak AS I DIDNT WANT AMY SAUCE. The only sauce i wanted which i saw online wasnt available. I cant eat garlic butter and when asking why it was on there his excuse was "because people ask for it" I didnt even ask for it on the first steak and nor did I ask the second.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming right from the beginning. The food was great pub food, especially the parma, which was one of the best I've had in some time. The Asian Chef with the Tatts down his left arm was super friendly too. 5 stars for both hospitality and food! We'll be back
Too busy in weekends and really loudly. But good tastes. Strongly recommend to this one in working days.
It's a great pub, with a generous serving size. There's a beer garden out the back, and good week night deals. It's located on the corner of Errol and Victoria Street, with plenty of side parking available. The service is good, and food generally comes out pretty quick after ordering.
Monday - Parma night
Tuesday - Ribs night
Wednesday - Steak night
Thursday - Burger night
Saturday - $1 Wings
Stumbled upon this great pub on our first night in North Melbourne.
Cold beer, great food and great service exactly what you expect in a pub!
We’ll be back for another dose before we go home!
