24Went here for lunch today and this place is a true Northcote gem! We always get incredibly warm service, with great food and amazing coffee! A must try for all!
What a ripper little shop. So much beautiful jams and sauces. Coffee and breakfast was fantastic
Great service, delicious food, lovely comfortable atmosphere.we’re from interstate but i noticed that the staff remembered the regulars and greeted them kindly, and even to us they were very friendly and welcoming.everyone else in the shop was lovely as well.also, is the guy with the brown wavy hair and tats single and can he come to canberra (im 18)
Pretty disappointed in an otherwise nice local cafe. I received about two mouthfuls of coffee in my $4.50 takeaway cup, which could only be put down to the barista probably not bothering to heat more milk up after they didn't make enough for 3 coffees.
Best bagels I’ve ever eaten. Incredibly friendly and fast service. Great music and atmosphere 10/10
I've been going here for a few years, and while the ambience is pleasant, the service tends to be slow and a few of the staff can be rude. For example, once we were stuck outside during a storm and had to remind the staff several times to help us move inside.
Such a lovely owner, plus the food is delicious! Highly recommend trying the salmon and cream cheese bagel!
My favourite place to have a coffee. Staff are always friendly, coffee is great and food superb. Can’t go past them.
Absolutely my favourite cafe of the North. The staff are so friendly & welcoming to everyone. Super kid friendly and dog friendly. They know everyone's name & coffee order & all the dogs' names. Consistently the best coffee around & the house-made crumpets with citrus curd are delicious. Playdough dog & I have made so many friends from the community there & he doesn't mind the daily schmakos they give him either
I bloody love this place. Come here on the daily, coffee is always great, food is always delicious and quick. I see a few reviews on here mentioning that coffee is pricey, but they forget they offer 50 cents off for a BYO cup. Bloody rippa.
And I heard some French people talking out the front whilst drinking coffee. How fancy is that? ! Also, the dogs that frequent this place make my heart sing.
Stumbled upon this cafe on a walk the the other day - im so glad i did! Super cute and homey feel with top notch coffee, even my dad was impressed and he has high standards. Nice discount on the keep cups, sustainable and winning! Staff were super friendly too (as well as easy on the eye ;) ).
Coffee has been so disappointing lately. $6.20 a pop you’d expect a great coffee. Female that works behind counter is lovely and always friendly to approach…. The young blokes not so much. Good cafes start at good customer service followed by good coffee. Disappointing.
This used to be my favourite cafe. It has a great courtyard and I’ve always liked the food. Unfortunately the last couple of times I have been it’s like you are bothering certain staff members by being there or asking a question - they speak to you rudely and in a cold tone as if they can’t be bothered to serve you. I won’t be going back anytime soon. There are plenty of nice places around. It is disappointing as this place is close to my home, but it’s not worth paying to be served by rude staff.
These guys have been looking after us during lockdown. We come here every day for coffee.
OH is very discerning when it comes to espresso. They make a good espresso and their single origin beans are change out regularly.
Warren does the best gourmet sausage roll and his tomato sauce is to die for. Love this cute part of Melbourne. I’ll be back soon. Regards Monty
I really, really have tried to give this place a go. They have great coffee, but every time I go I have feel extremely unwelcome by the staff which is a disappointment. Firstly the complete absence of acknowledgment on arrival. A simple “Hi” or “Be with you in a moment” would be nice. I don’t know if it was my lack of caucasoid in my complexion. Today I had never been more alienated. I was clearly the next customer, the waiter completely ignored me and acknowledged the customer behind me. I proceeded inside where I “checked in” and waited for acknowledgement… Nothing. Waited by the register for the next server… I literally had to drive the entire transaction. I was not asked what I wanted, I literally got a look as if I was an alien. I DON’T CARE HOW BUSY YOU ARE! ALWAYS MAKE THE CUSTOMER FEEL WELCOME! Hopefully for my fellow POC they have a better experience than I did today… Extremely underwhelmed!
Really wanted to give a better review, as the food here is pretty decent. The let down for this place is the lack of consistent hours — while the listed opening hours show a steady 3pm closure, the last two times I’ve been here we’ve been told they’re closing and can’t serve us even though we arrived at 1: 15 and 1: 45, respectively, quoting “slow foot traffic” as the reason for the sudden closure.
Hopefully they can pick up their game!
Good cafe. Easy to sit inside or out. Good coffee, seems to be a favourite place to stop for a coffee while walking the dog.
Pleasant staff and looks to be a favourite with the locals. Nice place to stop for a bite to eat and a coffee and relax by yourself or with a friend. The menu doesn't look too extensive, but has some variety.
Such a nice spot! Coffee and food is fresh and delish, they have tons of vegan options which is great.staff are so friendly and accommodating, and there are lots of cute dogs to spot nearby too
A fantastic little local. Friendly, welcoming and excellent coffee. It's where the locals go so it must be good.
