Thomas Street South Reserve Playground reviews
29I would have gave in at 5 stars but due to the toilets being quite dirty and nothing there to dry your hands this is my reason for the full stuff it's a newly built facility The adventure playground seems to be popular with the kids you can have your pet there but on leash esa
This playground is speechless. Full of facilities and equipment for kids to play. Very enjoyable environment.
Great playground, lots of equipment that caters to all ages. Heaps to do and the kids love it there. Highly recommended
Lovely relaxing park for dogs and owners. I enjoy the children's play area introducing my Westie to the children and meeting the parents and other relatives. This is truly a family and community facility. The atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly for everyone. Jeanne
A great play space even on a windy and wet day! Everything the previous reviews stated were accurate but I did not know about the HAMSTER WHEEL! It's a lot of fun for kids of _all_ ages!
One of the most beautiful playgrounds I've ever been to.wonderful part-time for children of all ages & parents.
Wow oh wow! What a fantastic place for kids, families, picnickers, walkers etc. And I thought Dendy Park had a great play area. This is so much better. So many activities for kids, castles to climb, flying fox, sandpit and water trough (for making excellent mud pies), climbing ropes, slides, animals to climb on (fake animals hello), forts to hide in, things just to look at and wonder what they are (and couple of things had me puzzled!) and so much more. There's undercover picnic areas, barbecues and bathroom and lots of open ground just to run around on. Thomas Street Reserve play area easily best free play area I've seen and even puts some of the paid play spaces to shame.
Great park for families. Good range of play equipment for ages toddler to early teen. Also has a couple of water play areas (please note these are not pools but water based activities). Park also has reasonable grass areas and plenty of trees for natural shade, supplemented by shade canopies.
The demolition of the original wooden fort is an absolute travesty. I've seen Bayside City Council whack a heritage overlay on buildings and places that hold far less cultural, community and aesthetic significance. The mind boggles how a playground constructed by the local community in the 80s is unworthy of heritage protection.
Although replacing the playground with accessible play elements is a genuine improvement, it is really disappointing that not a single element of the original structure has been retained or incorporated into the new playground as a nod to the past.
Get it together Bayside.
Fantastic playground. Something challenging and fun for all ages. One of the best playgrounds we've seen.
Possibly the greatest playground in suburban Melbourne. An amazing array of activities including some I've never seen before in a playground such as the giant hamster wheel and a DJ station.
Wow in Hampton this is the best playground I have seen took two of my grandchildren they had so much fun. There is so many things to do, We spent 3 hours there. Just amazing. You can have a BBQ there. Really I couldn't fault it.
Excellent for kids. Water, bins, pathways, clean bathrooms, seating and shade and ample equipment to play on at all ages.
What a wonderfully designed playspace for kids and great for birthday parties or gathering with 4-5 undercover pergolas. My boys had lots of fun playing in every different areas, even the senior exercise areas are very well designed. Toilet facilities available on site.
Excellent playground with so many different playthings for kids, some of which are quite unusual. My kids both love it here. Just be aware that it is a very big playground and not enclosed so it can be easy to lose track of your kids!
Wow! The renovated playground is exceptional. I particularly love the inclusive aspects - play areas for those with mobility issues, Braille on some of the signs, sign language for the Alphabet. It also has a wet play area so pack a towel and a change of clothes for the little people! Good work, Bayside Council!
It’s like a free little theme park, I love the little details. Best playground i have ever been to by far.
Fantastic! Castles, climbing wall, adventure playgrounds, plenty of space, clean amenities, excercise equipment for elderly, paved walking tracks. Has it all, well cared for, and lots of shade.
Huge playground and a vast land reserve. Great for family picnic or small events gathering (they have a toilet in case attendees need to use the loo).
Aside from the usual play area one can see in a playground, this one have zipline, DJ controller where music can be sync with a mobile phone, and a toilet!
However, there is no businesses around the area, hence go to this place prepared with snacks and water. If you get lucky you might hear the tune of the ice cream van coming.
Great park, lots of play equipment for kids of all sizes and ages. It was very busy and very crowded though.
