If you’re reading this review, you’re likely doing homework on which builder to TRUST with building your dream home. As first timers who just finished a KDRB, we’re very proud we selected Thomas Archer.

Firstly, it’s important to be prepared that no build process will ever be 100% smooth but what helped alleviate our stress along the way was the communication and support we received from the TA team. It always felt like a partnership and that the TA team were doing their best to help ensure our dream home came to life as we had imagined.

Reasons we selected TA:
1 - ability to personalize an existing floor plan and incorporate personal ideas during style selections
2 - good value for the build quality which we can now definitively see and feel
3 - overall positive feedback from our local community. A colleague built with TA and families at our school knew people who had and heard good things

Hopefully this helps give some insights into what to expect if you do decide to go with Thomas Archer. Given the opportunity, we would absolutely build with them again.

Got my keys earlier this month! Absolutely delighted with my Thomas Archer Arcadia44. The Hampton facade is high quality. Love it! Most appreciative to the team who worked with me from start to handover. They were extremely helpful with creative suggestions to achieve the look I was after when budget limitations occurred due to council required modifications. Appreciate different aspects each time I arrive home now! Thomas Archer is a local growing bayside business who build prestige homes and these homes sell well too! Worth the investment! We have just finished building our home with Thomas Archer. From the initial sales meeting to final handover about 3 weeks ago, the whole process was fairly smooth. Whilst getting to site start took a little longer (due to post covid challenges affecting the whole construction industry), communication and expectations were clear from on the onset and once construction started, everything went really smoothly. There were no significant delays and TA delivered our home almost 3.5 months ahead of schedule! Throughout the build, TA have been responsive and fair with all of our queries and concerns. Friends and family have commented on the high quality of our build and we are really happy with our new home so far. Big shout out to our site supervisor (Dave), building coordinators (Hannah, Morgan and Beck) and interior designer (Grant) who have all been so wonderful to deal with. Its still early days but i am hopeful that any issues (if and when they arise) in the maintenance phase will also be dealt with the to the same high level of standard.

We have had an amazing experience building the Elba with Thomas Archer. From the initial meeting to transparent costing and timeline we have been handed our dream family home. The design of the home has exceeded our expectations in regard to abundance of natural light and well thought out functional spaces. Our supervisor was exceptional, always available and made the experience enjoyable. Our little family feels very grateful we made the right choice to build with Thomas Archer!

We just got our house today and no words to describe how my husband and I feel seeing the final product. The build took a week short of 12 months. They promised 15 months from demo and they kept to timeline. Anticipated delays did not occur.

What we loved is the standard options are so trendy and gorgeous its easy to not have to upgrade everything. The products they used were amazing quality we were blown away the places they used.

Communication was amazing from Andy in design phase who was patient and supportive to settle the nerves and help make big decisions. I just love our house plan and the flow of the house.

Electrical appointment was seamless and straight forward Vince made the appointment so much easier then anticipated.

Special shout out to our incredible site manager Mark Lim. Who went way and beyond amazing communication weekly updates and just really had our back. Couldn't have asked for better site supervisor.

We would absolutely use Thomas Archer again and would recommend them hands down.

Thank you Thomas archer for making our dreams come true. I have no doubt if things need fixing they will get done and sorted in time.

I am deeply grateful for the assistance provided by Gary, Kirsty and Colin, which enabled me to successfully complete the journey of building my house. The memories were wonderful, and I hope Thomas Archer can continue to excel, designing even more stylish homes. If there's another opportunity in the future, I will definitely choose this company again:)

We have just moved into our new TA house and absolutely love it!
The build finishes and design feel luxurious and high quality and better than we had envisaged at the start of the project. From the start, we were surprised how easy the process was from design, through interior selection, contracting, to site start. The construction was on time and no variations of any significance. Unexpected issues inevitably come up during a house build but Thomas Archer was very professional in raising quickly, outlining options / advice and then continuing on. Special thanks to Mark L.and Kirsty for being very responsive and professional throughout the whole process.

We moved into the house around October 2021. We discovered some small defect, and reported to TA. Several persons came and inspected. Some vendors also came and fixed few items.

Only after Robert in charge for this warranty in early February, the process moved smoothly.

Now all have been fixed and I am happy with the results.

I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to Thomas Archer for the commitment, and to Robert personally for doing great job, personal attention and quick responses to make everything resolved in time.

We spent 12 months going through the design process with TAH and wasted over $10k because of their ineptitude and dishonesty. Before proceeding with them we provided TAH with a soil and site survey and gave them very clear and specific instructions about our site and brief requirements, we were told that they could accommodate our requirements and we paid multiple fees for them to proceed. A preliminary quote was provided and were told it would not deviate more than 5% at contract stage. Our site and design brief stayed the same throughout, we actually reduced the size of the home. We sent email upon email and had many conversations to reiterate the same brief, they had constant personnel changes, communication was terrible and the people we dealt with simply forgot or did not listen to what we communicated in prior emails or just long periods of radio silence. Basic instructions were not followed, an example of this is we needed to send 4 emails instructing them we wanted square down pipes and not round, an item which was at no cost or effort to change, but each time we got our revised plan this was ignored. When we finally got our tender document and their price came in 40% more than their preliminary quote, their excuse was the site engineering was more expensive than anticipated. This was despite our conversations and correspondence before we signed up and TAH being provided with a site details and completing their own site survey and soil test before providing us with a preliminary quote. The whole process was painful because they do not listen to their clients and cannot effectively communicate. They should be avoided they are incredibly dishonest and unprofessional.

We are about to start building with Thomas Archer Homes and our experience with Jess, Colin and the rest of the team up until this point has been outstanding. Looking forward to watching our home being built and a further productive relationship with Thomas Archer.

We built with Thomas Archer four years ago and they have been absolutely terrific. We just love our house and the fact we could customise it through the design phase to get exactly what we wanted. Classic example of grabbing your money up front and taking the average customer for a ride. Promising the world for you to sign up and hand over your money and then delivering the worst possible scenario. We are just a little family just trying to build their dream home.

Lost thousands of hard earned money and a lot of time with this company. We ended up back at square one with nothing to show for it!

The most disappointing part is the lack of communication or concern from their directors about their clients. Not even a single courtesy call or follow-up. So many more friendly and reputable builders our their that actually care.

DO YOUR HOMEWORK and get EVERYTHING in writing before handing over your dollars.
