We booked a family photo package for us, with our two young kids. We were able to choose from various recommended locations and Jo met us there. The location we chose was "Forest" and so we were casually walking through the forest while Jo was taking some really natural looking photos of us with the kids. She also selected a few stops throughout to create some nice moments, which translated into some of the best photos we have of our family. Our kids are quite shy, but Jo managed to get them come out of their shell very quickly - she's great with young kids! Overall, would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience with These Days Photography with Jo taking some family photos for us after the arrival of our new baby. We had a lovely extended family photo session with Jo in Melbourne and I highly recommend her services. Jo was pleasant to liaise with from the initial quote stage to session planning, she was very flexible and accommodating when we had to reschedule the session due to weather (Melbourne has very unpredictable weather!). Jo brings a really nice warmth and calmness to the photo session, making everyone in my family feel at ease in front of the camera. Jo is very experienced working with young children and managed to get my 3 yo daughter to smile and cooperate, if you're a parent you know how difficult it is to take photos with young kids. We got in contact with Jo for a newborn photoshoot. Before even meeting her, she was extremely accomodating in terms of days and dates. Jo gave us some wonderful and creative ideas to work with while also accomodating our ideas too. She was so gentle and patient and worked around our baby during the shoot with an idea in mind regardless of whether bubs was asleep or awake.
The photos came out beautiful! They were so natural and captured our family so genuinely.

My wife and I booked Jo for a maternity and newborn shoot for our first born son earlier this year. We wanted a shoot that captured our family in the most natural and candid way. I came across Jo on Instagram and was instantly drawn to her photography style. Each photo told a story and gave me the impression she was a fly on the wall capturing all the happiest moments of each family she photographed. I knew instantly from looking at her gallery that I wanted to book her and didn’t hesitate as I know good photographers like Jo book quickly.
From the first message Jo was extremely responsive, accommodating and personable (Something I feel is lost in todays busy, saturated market).
We didn’t meet Jo until the afternoon of our first shoot but the moment we did it felt as if we had been friends for decades. She has a warming nature and makes you feel very comfortable from the moment you meet. Her skills on the camera and the photos felt like a bonus from spending a nice afternoon chatting, laughing and taking in what would arguably be one of the most beautiful backdrops in Melbourne.
Jo also came to our house within two weeks of our little one being born and we had our newborn shoot. She has a way with children that makes the whole experience easy and effortless. Something that with a newborn in the mix can be very hard to achieve.
