Thelo Gyros and Bar

My wife and I had dinner there over the Cadel Evens weekend. Busy, but we got a dinner reservation on short notice. The food and service were great. The serving sizes were very generous. You could share many of the meals.
The only thing I would ask is that they include some zero alcohol beer on the list.
Some of the zero beers are very good, and it would allow those people with medical or other reasons to enjoy a beer with the meal.

I'm new to the area and this food gave me a good taste of my home country!

Had lamb gyros here. The portions are big, veggies fresh, but unfortunately meat is not ideal. Still pretty good though

Get around this place Torquay. Delicious, fresh and filling. The mixed gyros was as good - if not better, than the best available in the big smoke. The chips - delish.

If I could give 10 Stars, it would be 11!
My work buddy & I stopped here for lunch after work! There wasca bit if a queue to order, HOWEVER the owner (I presume) walked in the store behind us, and quickly took our orders, because he wanted to get us in & served quickly so we could get back to work! That was amazing in itself. It was my buddies shout and her card was being declined as money hadn't transferred correctly. While I waited at the store my mate went to get cash out. The owner came over to check on us and I explained my mate was getting cash out. He told tge server, all good! They can have it on the house! It was not a small order! I wanted to extend my appreciation.the food was amazing the staff very friendly and tentative. They even put a few chips in the top of my gyros bag because I asked for a few chips on the side. Highly recommend this restaurant, yummy yummy yummy gyros. The meat was tender & crunchy, just perfect! If you're in Torquay definitely worth the visit! 11/5 stars

Absolutely one of the best halloumi wraps/gyros I’ve ever had! Super delicious and fresh. It was wrapped like a cone which made it more manageable to eat. Thanks for a great lunch!

Food was pretty average. Had high hopes as the meat looked terrific.

Ordered:

• Lamb Gyros - this wasn’t necessarily not nice, we’ve had better gyros in Melbourne.

• Vege open plate - this dish was probably as plain and boring as it gets. Refer to photo. Falafels did not taste fresh at all and neither did the salad. It’s not worth $24!

Was passing by to go to bell st fish n chips then I saw thelo gyros and grill, we decided to have lunch there and Chris suggested to go for the mixed grill, the food was sensational, no complaints, cooked perfect, melted in your mouth.
I highly recommend this place, best in Victoria A+ the gyros souvlakia are like eating them as if your in Greece.

Wow, this place was amazing! Authentic Greek Gyros and a taste I have not experienced since I was in Greece years ago!
The staff were also amazing! Definitely will be taking a detour to come here again if I am in the area!

Incredible authentic and delicious gyros and frappé - felt like I was back in Greece! Staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. A must if you’re in the area.

It's a great place to go out and eat I highly recommend to go there and its good for a family dinner my favourite dish is the gyros the combination of chicken and sauce, salad and bread are really good so yeah I recommend to go there

Amazing food. The gyros meat was high quality and the pita bread and chips were delicious. The staff were very helpful, customising our meal however we wanted it! Thanks to Charlotte and Oscar! Sitting outdoors was fantastic on a 26 degree day. Plenty of shade, fast service and the music is chilled and just the right volume.

I'm not one to leave a comment but this was by far the best souvlaki I've ever had, the owner is also very wholesome and nice.
Would recommend to anyone who is looking for the same taste as Greece.

Stopped in for lunch as everything else nearby was packed, was not disappointed at all. The open plate was delicious, the salad was fresh and overall everything was 10/10. The staff working were nice to deal with. If I lived local to Torquay I would 100% order from here once a week. Thank you.

I had dinner here tonight for my dad's birthday. We got two of the sharing meals for 6 people and it probably could have fed another 2 or 3 adults! The serving sizes are generous and the food is delicious (it reminded me of my childhood). One idea I can suggest is perhaps looking into adding a few more non-alc drink options? Thank you to Ava and Tayah who served us tonight - you were both lovely and provided excellent service:) I'll be back soon to catch up with friends.

My son and I had the lamb and chicken gyros. 10 out of 10! Super friendly staff great little venue.
