The Wine Corner reviews
30Words can’t describe how fantastic miles’ service was saturday night! He was so helpful and recommended me a delicious array of wines and starters.will definitely be coming back here
Superb evening at The Wine Corner. Rachel is an absolute superstar, friendly, accommodating and beyond helpful for a very large unorganised group. Hospitality was outstanding - whatever you are paying her it aint enough! The food and cheese were sensational as well as the variety of wines on offer. Make this your local.
Awesome spot for an arvo wine - they were super helpful with suggestions for me and the bottle I got was absolutely delicious. So nice in the arvo sun ️
Let me tell you something about Wine Corner. These guys know their stuff. They know wine like I know acting. And let me tell you, they’re good. They’re real good.
You walk in there and you’re greeted by these guys who are so passionate about wine that it’s almost scary. But then they start talking to you and you realize that they’re just really happy to be there and to share their knowledge with you. And that’s what makes Wine Corner so special. They’re not just selling wine - they’re sharing their passion with you. And let me tell you, it’s infectious. You walk out of there feeling like you’ve just had the best wine experience of your life.
So if you’re looking for a place to buy wine, look no further than Wine Corner. These guys are the real deal.
Must of driven past this place 100 times before actually going inside. This place is very relaxed, nice selection of wines to choose from. Food was surprisingly superb, especially that chicken sando. Staff very friendly, all in all really good spot for a drink and a bite to eat!
Kind, affable, and expert service with a side of warm, local atmosphere and an extra helping of excellent wine selection.
Had a very relaxing Friday night with colleagues. Great selection of wines from Europe, staff were very knowledgeable and accommodating. Will be back.
I was excited to check this place out, however that excitement quickly faded after being patronised by the owner. I asked him nicely if they serve any cocktails, to which he sarcastically said 'um no, we're a WINE bar. ' Everyone at my table was taken aback by the delivery of his response, which was undoubtedly rude. They actually do serve negronis and beer so his piggish reply to me was totally unwarranted. For what it's worth, most wine bars in the area serve cocktails, not an unreasonable question for me to ask. Also, whenever my friend and I went inside to order another drink or pay, we had to wait for the staff to finish their chit chat amongst each other before being looked at. Felt like we were intruding on them. Won't be returning. Ghastly and overrated!
Friendly staff and professional service, highly recommended with amazing owner. Thank you for all you support.
Total sleeper! Came in for a bit of wine but got totally surprised by some awesome food! We had the jalapeño hummus, Brussel sprouts, and puttanesca. Couple glasses of chilled red. Beauty. 10/10
The team here are so knowledgeable. Regardless of what’s on tap they will take you through the subtleties of each drop, giggle with you on each delivery to the table and show their true (beautiful) colours. A delightful way to send out the year, thank you xxx
Good selection of wines not seen in chain bottle shops. I buy all my spirits here which are priced very close to DM. Staff are always helpful and friendly.
Great little wine bar, staff are super knowledgeable and friendly and are always happy to share great recommendations. Perfect spot to sit on a sunny afternoon. Food looks great too!
Great Service! The staff are incredibly knowledgeable, great to talk to and they have a really good selection of wines.
Best little bar and wine shop ever. Staff are lovely and know their stuff. They are always happy to talk through recommendations that suit your budget and taste - I've never had a dud from them. Oh, and the food is fantastic!
My favourite little wine bar and bottle-o in Melbourne’s inner north. Great food, great wine, great people!
Okay. Going out to dinner nearby at Scorpi, 191 Nicholson Street, Carlton North with friends. We were coming from different directions. Met at The Wine Corner. Both of us had never been here before - our mates saw this place driving by about 20 mins before we arrived and decided to call in and give it a go, spur of the moment, while waiting for us. Very good decision. They parked nearby in Canning St - we did the same. We met them there at about 7 p.m. Tonight (Wed) while they were on their first glass. What can we say? A very good place. Morgan (the female variety) mine host, attentive, knowledgeable but not overbearing - recommended a very good riesling for myself and a good sparkling for my partner. That morphed into two drinks while our friends repeated their first round. Convivial atmosphere, great banter, enjoyable hour or so. If you are in the area drop in.
Great corner wine bar with fun neighbourhood vibes. Will def be back! Super friendly and knowledgable service. Loved their selection by the glass, but you can also buy from their bottle shop with a corkage fee. Delicious menu of mostly sharing food, def recommend the cheese platter and fried cauliflower.
Awesome find yesterday while walking past. Great selection, super friendly staff and great vibe. Initially we weren't going to eat, but I'm glad we did. The menu is amazingly delicious and so well priced that I can't even believe it. Highly highly highly recommend
As a winemaker, I think this is a cracker bottle shop. Some super rare and interesting wines and some awesome midweek wines and back up bottles for bigger nights.
Big love to Steve, Morgane, Felix, Alex, and Ryan
