The White Tree Melbourne

White Tree provided the Acoustic singer and DJ + Sax Combo at our wedding held in March 2023. Overall, we unfortunately would not recommend White Tree.

Communication by the White Tree to myself (the bride) was very limited and could have been greatly improved. The White Tree did converse regularly with our venue to understand logistics & operations, but I could only have one phone conversation with the White Tree which took place one week out from the wedding. They did not take the time to understand what we were looking for in the DJ + Sax combo and relied heavily on the portal for this information – a very impersonal process. I also sent two emails to the White Tree and had to prompt a response on both occasions after waiting 3-4 weeks.
We were really let down by the DJ + Sax combo. The DJ didn’t engage with the crowd at all, the transition between songs was very rough (at one stage, the music just stopped mid song). We had guests comment to us later that the DJ was not great. The sax player did spend quite a lot of time on the dance floor, which was appreciated, but the sound of the sax was poor and we didn’t get the impression it was something he did often. What really left us extremely disappointed at the end of our wedding was the fact that the DJ did not announce to the crowd that it was the last song, they just switched the music off and packed up 5 minutes earlier than the scheduled time.

I have spoken to the White Tree about our experience and they re-butted all of our feedback, essentially saying that we had booked one of the best DJs in Sydney and that it would be very difficult for them to pass on negative feedback, it was a sensitive issue.

Linden who performed as the acoustics singer was fantastic and could not be faulted. But the customer service of White Tree (whereby we felt gaslit when providing feedback) and the poor DJ + Sax experience left us very disappointed.

The White Tree came recommended, and we couldn't have been happier. Mark was so helpful in the lead up, and during the planning discussions and really helped us to understand the best way to have the music we dreamed of for our wedding. Our acoustic music for the ceremony and cocktail hour, and 4 person band for the dance floor were all phenomenal. We had such wonderful feedback from our dancing guests! They really understood our vibe and the set list was amazing. And of course all the musicians were just delightful. We want to get married all over again to have more dancing!

We're still in awe how perfectly everything on the day came together, and the atmosphere our DJ (Jess) and sax player (Toby) created which made our night so incredibly fun.
Jess had compiled the most perfect playlist. I had people the next day saying "we needed just one dud song so we could catch our breath but at the same time, I'm so glad there wasn't". It was just perfect tune after perfect tune and it was EXACTLY what I wanted. I'm just so grateful as it kept people on the dance floor all night.
And Toby was simply phenomenal. That night people kept saying "who knew I needed a sax player in my life? Now no party is complete without one". We're so glad you recommended sax over the trumpet as it did set the perfect tone for the place (and Toby specifically was exceptional - I've never experienced anything like it and it was just so fun!).

Mark, Luke & Sam were absolutely amazing playing at our wedding! We had so many comments from the guests about how good they were. Prior to the wedding, Mark was great with communication, even when our lead singer had Covid 24 hours out, Mark had it all sorted before even letting me know if the situation! We can't thank them enough, it was such a fun night!

We hired The White Tree band, photographer and videographer for our wedding in March. Could not recommend more highly! We had to postpone our wedding a few times since 2021 and Mark was absolutely fantastic to deal with throughout. When the day finally came the band absolutely made our night! Everyone is still raving about them. They got everyone up and on the dance floor and created the best vibe all night. Lachie and Matt were our photographer & videographer and they were amazing to work with, very friendly and allowed us to be natural and enjoy ourselves. Overall 10/10, the White Tree made wedding planning easy and our special day just perfect!

We had an incredible experience with the White Tree Creative in Perth at our wedding, the acoustic duo as well as DJ and Saxophonist were the hit of the night, and Mark was wonderful to liaise with and help with everything we needed!

We hired White Tree after seeing them perform at another friend's wedding, and we couldn't be happier! We attended their show case night in St Kilda and they were all super friendly, personable and know how to put a show together to suit the occasion.
Mark was a great, reassuring point of contact with great advice on how to put a package and set list together.

The Web portal is easy to use to put the occasion together and Mark was always there to offer advice and assurance.

On the day. What can I say, Alex & Martika took lead vocals with Alex also playing acoustic for our wedding ceremony. He absolutely blew us away, was engaging with the guests and knew when to dial it up or tone it down for dinner etc.

The entire group (we had a 4 piece) were an absolute treat to have and I would recommend them in an absolute heart beat.

Get along to the showcase night and pick a group set up to suit your function space, you won't be disappointed!

We booked the White Tree band to play at our Wedding. They were one of the first vendors we booked after hearing them at another wedding, we were impressed with how they engaged the audience and loved their repertoire of songs. At our wedding they did not disappoint, many of our guests kept telling us how good the band was!
Our band manager Mark was great to work with, he was very responsive to all our emails and patient with our many questions leading up to the wedding. Booking a band while in lockdown can be nerve-racking but Mark made us feel at ease selecting singers and band lineups. We can't thank him enough!

We had the white tree as our band for our wedding in Griffith in June! The team was unreal and delivered on every little detail and thing that we asked of them! They kept our guests on the dance floor all night! They were responsive, reliable and more than willing to travel for the occasion! Would highly recommend the white tree!

We had the 5 piece band play at our wedding with Kellie as the lead singer. They were spectacular.

The sets were spot on and the sound was so good that everyone could not believe that they were even live performing!

Best energy and seamless arrival, setup and operation despite being 3.5hrs out of Melbourne.

The White Tree were great. Quick, clear communication. They have a online portal for you to list song preferences & pay invoices.
On the night of our wedding, our DJ/Soloist (Will) was polite and took song requests from our guests.

We booked The White Tree for our wedding. From the very beginning of our process, Mark made wedding planning easy. No question or email was left unanswered. And then on the day our ceremony, canapés and reception music was perfect. All of our wedding guests were on the dance floor and having such a great time. Our guests loved them and so did we!

We had The White Tree Band at our wedding in March 2021. Everyone was absolutely awesome and the compliments about our band were out of control. It was definitely a highlight of the night. We were all blown away and had so much fun with them.

We booked the White Tree Band after attending a showcase in Melbourne (highly recommend attending this). Mark is a wealth of knowledge to guide you in your planning and he went above and beyond with his communication and advice as we had to rebook a number of times due to COVID. What we loved about TWT was that you are able to mix and match your artists to suit your style. We were lucky enough to secure Susie as our lead singer whose voice and performance did not disappoint. Mark and the band took so much stress off our plates and we can not recommend them enough. Judging by our guests compliments and dancing, the band were a hit.

We also booked Lachie, a videographer through TWT. Lachie is easy going, professional and had a vision of how he wanted to showcase our wedding on film. We were blown away with what he put together and cannot stop watching the finished product. He caught all the special moments and even drove us to another location that we wanted to capture for the day. Lachie also went above and beyond to make our day amazing and we are forever grateful.

Mark and The White Tree Band were the cherry on top for our wedding. Absolutely nailed the vibe we asked for and had people up dancing all night. Highly recommended!

An amazing company, Mark was fantastic and responsive, always quick to help out with anything we needed. So well organised! The band was absolutely incredible on the evening, lots of dancing and so much fun! Highly recommend.

From the start of our wedding planning, The White Tree were incredibly easy to work with. We corresponded with Mark for the entire duration of planning and he was always incredibly responsive, helpful & flexible (which was really important considering we were navigating around coronavirus restriction changes). The White Tree have a detailed online space where we were able to choose the songs we were after & include information that we thought could be useful. On the day of the wedding, we had Garth & Mark both come and we had a mix of live acoustic & DJ from the start of our ceremony until the end of the night. We can be pretty fussy with what tracks we enjoy listening too and had some pretty curly requests - but Garth & Mark did an incredible job. Having them at our wedding was perfect, they are both super talented, completely nailed the vibe of our wedding, while remaining professional for the day. Planning our wedding around restrictions was stressful.but we feel so lucky that we had the opportunity to relax on the night with the perfect backing track. We had so many compliments about the music and each were entirely true. We would highly recommend The White Tree to anyone!

We got our friends to check out The White Tree for us one night in Melbourne to potentially book them for our wedding. Within five minutes of watching them play, we got a call to say that we have to book them immediately! We locked in a five-piece band and they were absolutely incredible! They completely set the mood for night and got all our guests up dancing. Mark’s communication skills were unreal and he was always quick to reply via email or call with any questions we had. We cannot recommend The White Tree highly enough. Thank you so much! It was exactly the type of vibe we hoped for on our big day!
