Martin was very thoughtful and kind. Went in for a restring service, came out with a restringed violin and a bucketful of violin knowledge. Thanks Martin!

I took my Azeri Kemancheh to Martin and he took on the mini-challenge with it not being a violin and fixed up the bridge. Impressive!

Martin is so lovely and welcoming, very well knowledged and excellent services.
Helped me restrings & retune my violin that I have not use for many years, while doing so gave me many handy tips. Also got my self a new bow to play my violin again.
Greatly appreciated your time Martin!

They are extremely helpful and they are proficient in what they do. I love the advise given to be about my cheap violin and I am definitely considering their suggestion. With their amazing history doing the job, I can be sure that they will give their best possible assessment in relation to your instrument. I can't wait to get a new violin and I will definitely come back for any type of service needed.

I visited this place when my ethnic instrument, Azeri Kamanche, broke and I was desperate since I found no one could fix it thousands of miles away from home. But I was lucky to find friendly and professional people of the violineri. I got my instrument fixed in a day with a very reasonable price. Really appriciate their help.

I approached this business about a year ago, handing the owner my business card at the time of enquiring as to whether he would make for me an Aoelian harp, and at what cost, he telling me that he’d think about it and get back to me. I returned a few weeks later, he repeating that he was thinking about it. I’m still waiting for a response from him. An Aoelian harp is much easier to make than a conventionsl harp. I imagine that he’s sitting at his premises on a wooden stump, in deep thought, in re-enactment of Rodin’s sculpture of the same name.

FULL SERVICE VIOLIN MAKER / SERVICE
This shop would not look out of place one hundred years ago in Austria - in a good way!
Traditional craftspersonship and attention to detail in a workshop environment.quite a find in these days of short-life consumables:)
Located in West Melbourne's Errol St precinct - you can lunch ot caffeinate in the same trip.
Reasonable parking on the street and also very accessible by tram and train (North Melb station or Flagstaff staions not far away).

I bought a beginner violin from Martin this year and he has provided outstanding service to resolve some minor teething issues with my instrument. He is friendly, patient, highly knowledgeable and helpful. Today Martin gave me a Zoom lesson in how to change a string. I recommend this business highly.

This is an amazing shop. I have been learning violin for a while, but was struggling with finding a comfortable position, therefore I would get frustrated and stop playing for lengths because of it. I saw the Bonmusica on The Violineri website but was not sure if it be ok. I went to the shop and Martin was great, he let me try out the bonmusica on both my violins.   I also found my chin rests that came with my violins were very uncomfortable,  but did not know which one to get. Martin suggest one that was more comfortable and affordable. He fitted them to my violins for me to try. Martin was very patience, let me try out shoulder rest and chin rest on both my acoustic and electric violins, he also helped me find a perfect position for playing. I purchased both bonmusica and chin rests. I am thrilled with my purchases and have been using them for a while now, because holding the violin is comfortable,  I am playing the violin a lot more and enjoying it. Thank you for your help Martin.:) :)

The Violineri has become my preferred violin store. Love the setup of the new shop and Martin is a gem to deal with. I sent son's violin for a new bridge and sound post adjustment and to my great surprise Martin had also cleaned and polished it. Needless to say we have been back a few times for bows, tail pieces etc.
