My brother one of patients here unfortunately kitchen manger and supervisor (Danielle and Fong) discriminated him, He got sick more after staying there, my brother asked extra bit food and Danielle and Fong abusived and aggressively treat him, after he wanted to meet up with GM (Allison) and he felt that GM had interest of conflict, Alison hide stuff under the carpet, I heard they are friends since from previous work place, it is being conducted unprofessional manner, toxic management doctors, cleaning staff are so nice, it is not good place to be there due to poor management

Experienced staff who offer a high quality of care in a pleasant safe environment. This hospital comes highly recommended.

My initial thoughts about this place were good.i was supporting a family member by taking her to see a psychiatrist here as an outpatient. She then had to be admitted as an inpatient and left feeling very distressed.she barely saw her doctor and the nurses who were supposed to take care of her had way too many patients to manage. Money grabbing and medicine don't go well together.

All I can say is that I did not understand why there are any bad reviews. Groups and therapies are very well run. The staff are amazing.

Beware if you are referred to Dr Singh. While I understand that there are good psychitrists there, my request to see someone else was dismissed. Some nurses are amazing, others are barely competent. There is a heavy reliance on student nurses who are not in a position to be nursing unsupervised. Medication is dropped on floors and reoffered to patients. Not a great practice regarding hygiene. Lack of concern in relation to patient wishes and involvement with their treatment only exacerbates issues.

Great nurses and food. The nurses obviously receive a lot of sensitivity training to eliminate any held stigma around mental illness.

I honestly can’t understand why this place has a single bad review. I live over four hours away and I’ve been in TVC for over a month now. The nurses are amazing, the food is good, the groups are well run. Some days I just want to get out but it’s a psychiatric hospital.of course that’s to be expected. This place is miles ahead of anywhere else I’ve ever been (this is my 8th hospital admission) and if I ever need help in the future I’ll be coming back to TVC. The psychologists are also amazing and everyone down to the kitchen staff and the cleaners know you by name.

Some of the nurses are rude the food I wouldn't give to my dog Dr Singh is incapable of being a psychiatrist and he over changes the insurance company

What a wonderful institution to stay at. Largely in part to the excellent Psychiatrists, Psychologists, and particularly the Nurses. Even the Kitchen staff are friendly and helpful, beyond reproach.thank you.

Surely it can't be a co-incidence that every psychiatric hospital in Melbourne has mostly terrible reviews. They took great care of my daughter, but obviously they have a lot of very stressed and disturbed people- I saw one woman viciously demand a medication that she was not due to have at the time. I'm not calling anyone a liar. I would just like to ask people to use their discretion when reading some of the one star reviews.

If you weren't crazy when you came here then the nurses will drive you crazy by the time you leave. There are 1 or 2 who are good at their jobs but the rest are so woefully inept its surprising they are allowed to work at all.

The nurses treat you like a burden instead of treating you like someone who is trying to get help for medical issues. They are rude and treat you like children. It's like they don't get any Mental Health training at all.

The administration of this place is a nightmare, they are always losing your paperwork, which is pretty concerning since its confidential, I went a month before getting to see any of services I was referred for the day I arrived because the nurses kept losing the documents.

My sister was booked and had a tentative place at this clinic for inpatient program. When she rang up to confirm her booking, she was told that they had never heard of her and that they did not have a place for her. Too bad if it was urgent, this place is useless, please go elsewhere.

Dr. Turnbull should not be in the profession of helping people with mental health symptoms, his knowledge is outdated by at least 20 years. He is only interested in keeping people medicated. Find yourself a great naturopath if you want positive results

Go elsewhere, they make you wait, charge you more than initially indicated and then call you back in another day for another scan because they stuffed up the first one. Then make you wait half an hour beyond your appointment time again. Not funny paying 400 for this, do they really think it's good to treat people who need an MRI scan like this?
