The Valley Cellardoor reviews
52This was a great place. Live music on Sunday. GF platter was highly enjoyable. Extensive wine list and other drinks. Recommend as a meeting place to catch up with friends.
I had a delightful evening at The Valley Cellardoor, a bustling little eatery and wine bar on a Thursday night, and it was easy to see why it was so busy. The service was excellent, with an extensive wine selection and outstanding wine suggestions. We ordered a pizza that was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. I'm definitely planning to return to this spot in the future.
Sam refused to give Jade his number and dissed the company we worked for. We thought he was cool before that
On hall street your friendly neighborhood wine bar kitchen.enjoy all day long drink.wish it opened till late. 11pm closing.
Place had a nice atmosphere & great wine but was all downhill from there. Had a booking but was impossible to find out which table without waiting at the bar where we had to wait ages to be served. Then we ordered food but it did not come for 2 hours so we asked for a refund & walked away starving. Also think it's highway robbery for a wine bar to charge $15 corkage!
Served a wine glass that had a chipped rim on three occasions. Nice wine selection but I don't want to have to worry about cutting my lip.
This is my local wine bar and I absolutely love the vibe here. Great wines, beers and very friendly staff as well.
The place is awesome, great vibes in general. The decorations, the style, the concept of this wine bar is just fantastic. The reason I rated this place with 4 stars is because still needs to adjust a bit in the customer service area. Nothing bad, no negative comments at all, just my opinion to encourage improvement. You can pick a a wine and had it on site or take home. Pizza was crunchy and delicious. I would suggest more options in the menu, specially for desserts (it’s cannoli or an alcoholic dessert and that’s it.)
Parking Tip: after 6 pm Coles parking is free.
Nice Cabernet Grenache Blend and some Rippa Jalepeno Corn Kernels/ nuts?
LUVYAWORK. Highly Recommended.
Cheers Nicko and Claire Xoxo
Disappointed in the customer service, spoken to quite rudely, if you aren’t open at 8.30pm maybe don’t have the option to book at 8.45pm and then to talk to us rudely when questioning it.
Quickly wine bar with a heap of regulars attending because the wine selection is outstanding. Even the house wines are outstanding! Cheers to the great staff.
Went in, asked if I could have some assistance finding a wine. Gave them the flavour profile I was looking for and a price limit. I was suggested a Chardonnay and it was fantastic! Great team there, and they clearly know their wines. Thanks team.
First time ever here, didn’t expect them to served some good asian style food here.love the Bao, the chicken was so great.have the pork belly as well, im sure if they have rice, i will order another one
i had the cocktail, not feeling too strong of alcohol, but i don’t mind it.taste good anyway
they seem like a pretty popular local pub.
Love this little wine bar in Moonee Ponds. Reasonable price for food and wine. Great ambience for a catch up with friends. Only negative is the limited car parks around the area.
HUGE THANK YOU and call about how damn incredible Mark and the staff are at The Valley Cellardoor Moonee Ponds where we threw a surprise engagement function on the wend! Fanoula, our primary contact for the night, was so attentive, caring, hospitality and just on the ball for our group the whole function!
We were so grateful and felt the night flowed so incredibly well due to their support. So once again big thanks to Mark and the whole Cellardoor crew, we couldn’t speak higher of our time and experience at your venue!
Solid 4 stars for overall dinner and drinks.the service was friendly and quick 5 stars.the wines were beautiful.however the food menu was a slightly low on variety. There were pizzas, various small bites and cheese boards.no complaints with the quality of the food served.you’re surrounded by very tempting array of bottles of wine available by the bottle! Perfect if you’re with a group and up for a couple bottles to share at very reasonable prices.there is a modest range of wines available by the glass.there is indoor and undercover ‘outdoor’ seating.the vibe is relaxed and casual.we’ll be back- for wine and food to graze on- not when we’re feeling like a heavier protein based savoury meal.
3 front of house staff - zero masks. One person in the kitchen wearing one. Witnessed failures to check vax status - I wasn't asked, but offered. #covidrisk Customers walking around without masks.
This goes onto my personal exposure risk list and won't be visited again.
Fast becoming our local! Great selection of wine, drinks and nibbles. All undercover for rainy days. Friendly and knowledgeable staff!
What a fabulous bar! Food and wine both great, outdoor seating area is perfect! Highly recommended
Lovely venue, was looking forward to it.
First night out since lockdown and the two noticeable staff at the venue were far from impressive. The sign out the front said wait to be seated, and boy did we wait. Until we walked inside and had to make ourselves known anyway. Understandable if short staffed but surely have a plan in place if you are expecting bookings?
Anyway the night goes on and we had no notification, communication or idea that the kitchen closed at 8 or 8: 30pm. If you have a booking at 7: 30pm is it normal to notify those patrons of this?
Last drinks were called at 9: 03pm, didn't leave until 9: 45pm but we forced ourselves to stay there as it was our first night out.
Not sure I’d go back now
