A dropped a wild plover bird off that was very sick. They looked after it like it was my own pet and did absolutely everything for this gorgeous little bird, which was so pleasing to see.

I felt welcomed and love the friendly and very helpful reception staff. Caring vet. I understand that unusual vetinary specialist might cost a bit more but my appointment was 10 minutes for hay poke with a guinea pig. Hay had been removed and eye washed.

Solution in the eye to check where the scratch was as I was expecting. Eye ointment and antibiotics as expected. But $231 kinda floored me at that coat certainly wasn't expecting it to be that much. $110 for the 10 minute appointment.and $121 for the treatment.

Slightly excessive and i do get that appointments may take a little longer at times.with something like a bird or another exotic animal but this was 10 minutes.

The dogs vets visits some times I am in the room 30 mins and they still only charge the standard $55 to $65 for consultation and they see both the dogs in that one consultation visit. In fact I remember the vet trying to clip my dogs nails and how dramatic she was being.took 45 minutes and so much patience and still charged only a little bit more than a standard consultation.

I could not even begin to recommend the Unusual Pet Vets enough! I have been multiple times with my budgies, and each time they have been amazing- they are always so understanding, considerate and thorough, and talk through all of the options available. They have always taken such amazing care of my budgies, and everyone there is so kind and helpful. There are plenty of great vet clinics, but these guys are next level in the care and support they offer both their patients and the humans who bring them in! I absolutely could not recommend them enough.

My rat had become sick, and I needed to get him euthanized.
Staff were caring and patient, wrapped him up beautifully afterwards, I then received a card in the mail sending their regards.

There aren't enough words to describe how wonderful this clinic is. All the staff are so kind and empathic. If you have a pet that isn't a cat or dog, this place is for you. They go above and beyond, and their knowledge is incredible.

The unusual pet vet were so amazing with my 10 week old bunny who has a leg injury. Dr. Sharon Tsim went above and beyond to make sure my rabbit was comfortable, explaining all of the care options and providing so much insightful knowledge. Our appointment did not feel rushed at all and she spent a good 35 minutes with our bunny. Not only was she a caring vet but the reception staff are so lovely and amazing too both at our visit and when we called up to book. I can’t recommend unusual pet vets enough.

Wonderful, compassionate and caring staff. They provide high quality care, and very clear communication. I'm so grateful for the care they have given my rabbit over the years, and recommend them to everyone with an 'unusual pet' family member. I really enjoy their newsletter and web articles too. They are such a wealth of knowledge.

Really done an excellent job to my guinea pig who had a kidney stone. Not your usual vet that treat cats and dogs. Im really impressed by how they treat unusual pets. Will defintely recommend this to those who have small pets.

Every single person I spoke to both on the phone and in person was knowledgeable and patient in answering questions I had. In person, everyone there was clearly skilled and comfortable handling my lizard and helped to easily resolve the concerns I was having both immediately, and via advice for long term care. I cannot recommend enough booking in here if you need care for an animal that is not a cat or dog.

Very helpful, caring team that goes out of their way to make sure you and your pet are taken care of.

Just wanted to update my review to say WOW. I am impressed. I have been to many many vets over the years with barely little success. This vet goes above and beyond to help my animals and is always so happy and enthusiastic to see them! Been twice now due to emergency situations. One of the times my chicken was put down and they were kind, caring and understanding with the process. For once a vet understood our animals and thoroughly checked them over. They explained all the reasoning and options properly. We took home footprints and they gave us a card and sent us another card in the post with seeds to plant. So so beautiful thank you for the support during sad times. Only negatives would be that I wish they were open later for more animal emergencies as no other places would take birds late at night. And finally they are quite expensive. Highly recommend if you can afford it to go!

Have been there a few times for our pet rats. Great staff and very caring. We recently had to have one of our rats euthanized, as he had a severe respiratory illness. The vet and all staff handled everything with such kindness and care. They never rushed anything and ensured we were at ease. Even packaged our rat, in a suitable way, for us to be able to take him home for a garden burial. And on top of this, a week later we received a handmade card and a bag of flower seeds, to be planted on his grave. Just phenomenal, thought and kindness goes into all their work.

Have to give a five star review for the team at The Unusual Pet Vets for providing excellent care to my boy and keeping me updated throughout the entire process. In particular, I would like to thank Dr Hamish and his team for saving my boy's right leg. I was told that my boy's leg was badly fractured and the surgery would be very complicated having to repair a fractured 6mm thigh bone. I was not having too much hope that his leg will be able to be repaired given the severity of the injury. Fortunately, Dr Hamish performed some magical work and managed to save my boy's leg and he is now starting to move again! If you are looking for quality care and treatment for your pets, this is the place to be. You certainly pay for the quality but trust me it totally worth it. I live more than an hour away but it certainly worth my travel time. Attached are photos of my boy's repaired leg. I would recommend this vet clinic to anyone.

Dr. Hamish who is now our go to vet for our snake is so knowledgeable on reptiles and we are always pleased after visiting him, he is always so kind and caring while also being super professional and willing to share his knowledge.

The vets at The Usual pets vets are amazing. I took my bunny cookie for a checkup there after my other bunny passed away. They showed great empathy for our loss and took the time to make sure cookie was healthy. Cookie had her vaccination and they called the next day to check how she was doing. Thanks so much to The Usual pets vets?

They helped my little Cockatiel when he was very unwell and on the verge of death. They gave him the absolute best of care and i even got daily updates and videos of him as he got better. He is now 100% better and thriving. Only downside is the price, the vet care at this clinic isn't cheap in the slightest but they do wonderful work
