The Tradesman Cafe reviews
28 Love Raman and the crew at The Tradesman! Great coffee, always friendly!
They stock my favourite beans too!
Lovely place you wouldn't expect to find in the industrial backstreets of Cheltenham. Lovely, attentive service and the food was absolutely delightful.not only delicious but also a bit fun! Plenty of different seating options with the clean and bright inside and a few sunny tables outside if you don't mind the traffic going by. It was a great way to spend our morning
You hear the name, then you see the place and you're just a bit taken aback, pleasantly so. Then you see the food. Not only is the presentation creative and professional, but the food itself is a wonderful take on Western breakfast with Middle Eastern and Asian influences sprinkled in.
My wife and I had brunch here and she had the velvet pancakes and watermelon, pineapple and x juice which was such a well balanced drink, not too much of the pineapple or other fruit I forget the name of to overpower the watermelon, but enough to really accompany it.
I had the smashed avo and it incorporated Persian feta, hints of cumin powder and an assortment of other ingredients that complement but never overpower in the slightest.
This same applies to everything else that was served with our meals and drinks. Each item seemed to have been very well thought out, and had a fresh take on them without straying too far from what you'd expect.
The staff were also incredibly kind, helpful and respectful. They had a good initiative too, and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and well taken care of.
We were invited to the Tradesman and I was surprised and wowed by the cute fit out of cafe nestled in such an industrial area (hence the name!). I was also pleasantly delighted that they had a basket of children’s toys and a tv playing abc kids given I had my little one in tow. Food wise I absolutely loved the rosti that my husband added to his fritters and upon enquiring we learned it was housemade. You could definitely taste the quality and I thoroughly recommend adding to your order. The red velvet hotcakes were a visual delight and as such I had to fight my daughter for them. Super friendly service too
Aesthetic and quiet, I always order a breakfast wrap and cappuccino and receive them quickly and hot. Would recommend dropping by and getting better photos than the one I took because I was devouring my food
Headed to a client's place and had enough time for lunch so I stopped by a random cafe. The inside is pretty standard, clean cafe. Nothing mind-boggling, but perfectly good to sit at.
The food and coffee though - wow, totally unexpected. I had the slow braised lamb which absolutely blew me away, every bite was delicious. The eggs were impeccably poached. If I had to give feedback I personally like my greens a bit softer, but I'd know to ask for that next time. The coffee was also delicious and the service friendly and prompt. It's not local to me, but if I'm in the area I'll definitely head back!
I grew up in this area and in my day there were just daggy sandwich places and dodgy fish n chip shops but now trendy cafes are springing up everywhere with The Tradesman Cafe being such an example. Husband had scrambled eggs on toast while I had avocado smash with a side of spinach. My meal came with eggs also which my husband had and we had coffees (soy lattes and flat white). There is lots of seating inside and some outside, nicely decorated. However what I couldn't get over was the fact that they charge you $3 for a plate if you order from their sides menu only. So let me get this straight if I order spinach, tomatoes, hash browns, etc for over $15 I'm charged another $3 to plate it? Come on that's outrageous, I've been to over 100 cafes and I have seen this at only one other and I wouldn't go back to there and I may not go back here either.
Best coffee place! Amazing service, amazing staff and wonderful food!
Highly recommended
Service was great and food delicious, highly recommend superfood salad bowl and the ice tea - butterfly.
Only problem is parking in the area.
Been going here everyday for the past 4 months mainly for a coffee or two. I have had their food here and they always deliver on that part. I appreciate that they're open at 6am as an ex tradie it was hard to find a coffee shop open before you had to start work at 7. Couldn't rate these guys high enough.
Got a breakfast burger and it was the biggest breaky burger I've ever had. The staff were very kind and courteous.
We enjoyed a delicious brunch. Meals were of a very generous size. Happy helpful staff. They made a great coffee and cup of tea.
Tucked away in the Moorabbin industrial zone this cafe offers fantastic coffee and delicious all day food covering the typical breakfast options and some tasty burgers. Order by phone and food is delivered fast and with a smile. One of the best in 3189.
Nice little cafe on the way to Moorabbin DFO:)
Good offering. Delicious food. Small cafe and very busy so finding a table might be difficult. Small parking area but we’ve always found parking without issues.
Really nice food, would have been nice to enjoy a meal indoors but still enjoyed the experience
If you want take a way or dining in, you can. The staff are very friendly and kindness. There are also an updated newspaper that you can check it.
I always order from them and everytime I do, their food and coffee is absolutely fantastic. So happy to have an amazing cafe really close to my workplace:)
Really good coffee - but the Barista was unnecessarily rude to the uber eats driver waiting to pick up the order.
Love this place! We have eaten here several times now for breakfast and lunch and it has not disappointed yet. The food is amazing and the service is great. It also has an outdoor area where you can take your dog. Great going guys
One of the best. Consistently good food and coffee whether they be busy or not
Much recommended
