The Tea Empire 茶王臺灣美食 reviews
16 The most authentic store, I highly recommend it.
Beef noodles have a very homely taste
Randomly drove pass this place and absolutely love it.
The girl was super patient answering all my questions, and the food is amazing and big portion (highly recommend the beef soup noodles)! Can't wait to go back to try other dishes.
Such a great place!
Frequently come here to eat after work.
The staff is so friendly and nice. Good selection of bubble tea varieties with nearly all of the fruit flavours being made from real fruit. My favourite is the watermelon slushie.
The wonton noodle soup is a good option if you're feeling something warm in winter times.
Also recommend the fried chicken options, it's so damn tender + the batter is always on point!
Good portions for the price range.
Check it out if you're in the area.
*To the owner, thanks for the great service and tastey food.
Watermelon slushy was awful. Never will go back.
Response from the owner
Dear Pradeepa, we frozen watermelon to make slushy, it was made by 100% real fruit, if you expect strong flavors using powder, I am sorry to make you disappointed because our goal is to make healthy drinks and food for our customers.
Edited for the response from owner: you cannot accept criticism for the awful slushy and you started to talk there is no artificial flavour.
It did not taste natural to start with it tasted more like artificial flavour. Pls correct stuff if you hear criticism instead of getting offended
The taste of the food is quite nice. The counter is really patient to introduce the menu to us and quite thoughtful! The most important is the milk tea they made are all made with Taiwanese tea which is imported from Taiwan!
I don’t know if this shop is The Tea Empire or Smile Tea or they both are the same.
Anyway, I tried the bubble tea, was good, liked it. I tried the three cups chicken with rice, taste was average. I don’t think it tasted like the traditional flavour three cups chicken flavour with thai basil. I must say portion size is decent, proportionate with the price they charge. I also tried the beef stew omelette with rice. I personally think that for a takeaway shop like this, $23 is a tiny bit pricey. Service is good but a bit slow. I would go there more often if the price is around $15-$18 for a rice or noodle dish. Anything above $20 i would go to a more decent restaurant where i can get better tasting food and able to sit in a much nicer environment than in front of a supermarket.
Absolutely adored this place. Staff was very warm and helpful. Thank you for the beautiful puer tea and braised beef noodles. Very generous portions, and am authentic! My taiwanese friends would agree!
If you’re lost, head into the IGA. They are currently rebranding and holding space inside IGA.
Having tried a few dishes here, the 'Tomato beef stew with egg omelette on rice' is definitely my favorite, so far. The beef is always tender and the sauce is rich and flavorful. The homemade taste of their dishes, combined with the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff, makes for a truly enjoyable dining experience. I highly recommend giving this place a try - you won't be disappointed!:)
The worst taro bubble tea i’ve ever had. It was pathetic, was all water and no tea. Such a waste of money. Had to throw it straight away.
I bought some Taiwanese hight mountain tea yesterday. They are amazing! Same as what I had in Taiwan they gave me some sample tea, can’t wait to try!
Taro milk tea was the worst thing i have ever tasted had a gritty sediment and does not taste of taro. Complete waste of money.
I came here for peach milk tea every time, taste so good, their drinks made from high quality of tea, everyone should come to try it, the lady here is very friendly and provide me good customer services which make me feel like I am at home and the feelings being me back every time, I would recommend people who loves tea and Taiwanese food should come visit The Tea Empire
I am a regular customer of The Tea Empire, I love their hot grass jelly and Taiwanese beef noodle soup, the best that I ever tried in Melbourne so far, the staff there is friendly, highly recommended
Yummy homemade pork minced on rice with special cooked ; it just felt like you are eating the same food in Taiwan. Awesome!
The Tea Empire sells tea. Traditional or modern. I cannot comment on the tea as I just had lunch. Beef with rice. Nicely presented and dry. They provided a small plate if chilli to spice it up. Atmosphere was fresh and clean. Service good and friendly. My companion said that the honey and lemon tea was very good.
