The Source Bulk Foods reviews
11So interesting. The different flours, seeds, dried fruits, organic eco friendly products for cleaning. Wonderful place. Expect to pay. But that's the way. It was busy, so good turn over of product!
High quality organic produce that gets packed into your own containers. Buy beautiful food and help save the planet
This place is fantastic. You can purchase jars and bottles to buy your items in bulk or you can bring your own containers/bottles.
It’s also a great place to buy your ingredients to make your own low tox and natural cleaning products.
The sweet section is also insanely delicious. Their licorice is deeelicious.
Go have a look at the store. I can guarantee you won’t leave empty handed
I did not ho here. My grandson went for me. It seems to be a great place to shop for better prices.
Love going here.
They have good quality stuff.
Especially the cleaning liquids
Impressive range of choices such as nuts, grains, beans & pulses, dried fruits, herbs & spices, coffee & tea, cleaning products, some are organic or gluten free.
I love the "Zero-waste movement", which is to have no plastic bags or packaging, and therefore contributes positively to our planet.
However, the price is not as good as they claim.
If the Source buys in bulk and has no packaging, then WHY ARE 80% OF THE PRODUCTS ON OFFER ARE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN ELSEWHERE?
I've already compared the cost per kilo and per 100g of many products and I think it's totally abnormal to sell at these prices, knowing that The Source buy all these products in large quantities or bulks:/
Looks like they emptied out the store and moved out. I saw this on Sunday Nov 15th. Forgot to take a picture. I think they are permenently closed.
Edit: they're open thank you for the response
They have moved to a new location right opposite to Woolsworth on Hampton Street. They have variety of Dry fruits collection all over the world, mostly organic. The new store is much bigger than the old one.
I love this place so so so much! Will now be coming every week to stock up! Such a great range and well priced
Staff were poorly informed about their products, which were of limited range. Armed with this review it is hoped that owners and staff will perceive this as an opportunity to improve. The nature of their products can significantly impact in the war on waste.
